he hunt is on for convicted double murderer Anthony Richard Dent with police seeking to question the 53-yearold over the death of Anthony Thomas O’Grady in Wickham on March 26. Dent was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murders of Alan Sichter and Ronald Hamilton in 1977 with their bodies found in Wickham Park in close proximity to where Mr O’Grady was discovered. By 2009, Dent had been released but found himself in more trouble when gaoled for a further three years and four months on drugs and firearms offences. Dent is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a tanned complexion, 180-185cm tall with a medium build, light brown hair or possibly shaved head, blue/grey eyes and tattoos on his left arm. Members of the public who see Anthony Richard Dent are urged not to approach him but contact Triple Zero ‘000’ immediately. Strike Force Harrogate, comprising of detectives from Newcastle Local Area Command and the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad are continuing investigations into the matter.
