they have occupied for years. Along with their colleague charities at Worthing Hospital and Southlands Hospital, they will lose their spaces after Western Sussex NHS Foundation Trust announced a ÂŁ1 million contract has been awarded to provider Compass
Group for shops, cafes and restaurants a the hospitals. THe Trust has said that the Friends will be offered areas within each of the hospitals from which to base their fundraising activities. But Jane Ramage, chairman of the
group, said that's not good enough. "We have served the needs of our hospitals and their patients, staff and visitors efficiently and caringly for almost 70 years.," she said. Continued on page 7
