Continuing our topic about CampusTraditions I’d like to tell you about customs such as Greek Week, Honors Day, and International Week. A vast variety of events exist during every season of the year. For example, Greek Weekis held in the spring, which is supported by Greek social organizations. This event consists of activities which provide fraternity and sorority members opportunities to share in bonding activities within their houses and other Greek fraternities and sororities. Honors Day is a University-wide celebration of excellence. Recognition is given to students for erudition and leadership. Also honored are faculty members who get awards for prominent achievement in teaching, research, artistic endeavor or public service. Another great week in is International Week. Many educational establishments are lucky to have, within the student body, citizens from many different countries. International Week helps foreign students to express their cultural variety through exhibits, foods, lectures, and films.
