Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson Interview and Harry Potter Continuation Recently in an interview with Daniel Radcliffe (actor that plays Harry Potter) and Emma Watson (actress that plays Hermione Granger) a lot of topics were discussed about the filming of the new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie. You can read the full interview here. I enjoyed the entire Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson interview but the last question was the one that interested me the most. In the question about whether J.K. Rowling will write another Harry Potter book and if they would star in the next movie, their answers were: Daniel Radcliffe: “No, probably not is the answer because 10 years is enough. I think the films have reached a rather perfect and wonderful conclusion, and I have had assurances from [Rowling] that she will not be doing that.” Emma Watson: “Oh my goodness. No, I wouldn't. It feels so complete what we've done. It would just be weird. No. No way. It would just be really strange.” I have already shared my opinion about this in the J.K. Rowling Interview & the Continuation of the Harry Potter Saga post. I agree completely with Daniel and Emma that the story has reached its end, so the Harry Potter continuation would be strange. Since in her interview J.K. Rowling said that she cannot stop writing and she assured Daniel Radcliffe that she will not continue the Harry Potter books, then I think that we really can expect an entirely new series. I hope she will make her decision about the new book after July 2011, the release date of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, because there can never be anything quite like the Harry Potter story and I will be terribly disappointed when it finally ends.
