PGMAG: Dr. Mohammed, you are welcome to today’s interview with Lady Anita.
DMM: Thank you Madam Anita, for considering my interview for PGMAG.
PGMAG: Please briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
DMM: I, Dr. Mohammed Masood Mohiuddin is Chairman of AIM Education & Research Society, I am also the Principal & Professor of Shadan Institute of Computer Studies (Postgraduate institute for management & Computer Education) located in Hyderabad, India. I Have 26 years of Teaching Research experience in the field of Information & Communication Technology. Being a Business Management professional, I have worked and researched on UN Sustainable Development Goals. More than thirty Research papers have been published in UN & International Journals. Our NGO has developed a Blood Donation mobile application and web platform to find blood donors online. The application enables Geo-searching, which facilitates real-time connections and notifications and updates, streamlining the process of finding donors in times of emergency like never before.
We are in a process of setting up Incubator for Women Startups. It is about encouraging young women to become independent entrepreneurs and to build their own business, New startups created, self employment. We provide complete training and support to these students, and we explore their ideas into reality, for 1yr we provide businesses to help them. Later on they can stand on their feet, these all services will be provided free of cost. The objective of the Mission is to “build strong and vibrant institutional platforms for the urban and rural poor that would enable them to increase household incomes through livelihood enhancements and improved access to financial and other services”. The focus of the Mission will also include leveraging financial resources, livelihood support, public services and to ensure their entitlements. This first Women Incubator is in Hyderabad, Bangalore, New Delhi, Poona, India, followed by other cities and countries.
Below are some of my Entitlements:
- Management of Research projects, preparation of grant proposals Raising Funds from Governments and Corporates
-Working with Governmental Agencies for the development of Urban India
- Preparing and submission of reports – both narrative and financial
- Planning & Training for Research Team as well as Faculty
- Ensuring smooth functioning of the organization.
- Responsible for administrative and financial decisions of the Organization.
- Expertise in project appraisal, project management and monitoring & evaluation
- Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research techniques
- Preparation of survey formats and schedules, Data analysis and formulation of reports
- Communicating and coordinating with variety of stakeholders including departments, local government officials, community members and partner organizations
- Identify researches and develop large new global alliances with the corporate sector that generate significant resources.
- Held consultation with the Government of India and other stakeholders, identified new potentially suitable corporate partnerships.
- Developed proposals and pitched for new corporate partners.
- Manage the execution of a new business development strategy for corporate resource mobilization which supports the NGO’s goal to grow income from the corporate sector.
- Engaged in consultation with relevant State Committees and Country Offices to identify prospective new corporate partners.
- Forming alliances with the corporate sector in line with the NGO policy and guidelines in the desired areas.
- Conduct training & Skill development programmes for economically backward communities within and outside the state.
PGMAG: As a member of UN Global Compact, what are some of the strategies needed to help those in a disadvantaged environment?
DMM: As a Member of UN Global Compact The World’s largest Corporate Sustainability Initiative, our organization is committed in implementing universal sustainability principles and takes steps to support UN goals.
Below are some of the highlights
- Promote Public Health and a Clean and Safe Environment
- Reduce Exposure to Facilities with Potential Environmental Concerns
- Promote Green Environment
- Strengthen Existing Communities
In all of these efforts, local public health departments are important partners who can strengthen the link between planning and health by bringing new information and stakeholders to the table. When engaged in health planning, feedback of residents are taken to identify health issues that can be addressed in plans, provide and interpret data documenting local health concerns, organize workshops and presentations for key decision makers on appropriate use of policy on health matters, provide sample policies, and comment on draft plans.

PGMAG: What is your message for young people?
DMM: The young generation of people are the true assets of a Nation. Hence even a small help and contribution with regard to knowledge, skill, talent and resources will go a long way towards building a stronger, better and a safer world. Therefore there is a dire need for them to join hands with organizations /Institutions for helping any community development programme initiated for a noble cause, more particularly to fight against COVID-19 Pandemic, A crisis that has taken the World by surprise. But together we can bring about a positive change and make this World a better place to live in.
PGMAG: The pandemic has greatly affected the lives of many, and a lot of people are struggling to stay motivated due to the effect of covid-19; what are some keys to rebuilding the general economy in order to support more people in business?
DMM: Whenever there is a crisis of this magnitude, presently COVID-19, the respective Governments, the Corporate world, NGOs and every other resourceful person should come forward and contribute in their individual capacity to motivate the people to be stronger in these trying times and help the depraved and deprived both Monetarily and morally. Government can take remedial measures to ensure that the people do not suffer and prevent Businesses from getting stressed out and to ensure that the economy does not get adversely affected.
PGMAG: Please tell us more about your NGO.
DMM: AIM Education & Research Society is an NGO, a non-governmental organization which is being run by a Group of likeminded, highly Educated and dedicated people with a non-profit motive that works for the upliftment and rehabilitation of the underprivileged Children, Girls, Women and Youth both on the National and International level. We have a vision and are task oriented and are driven by people with a common interest, we perform a variety of services with a social objective and on humanitarian grounds. Our passion lies in addressing a plethora of issues pertaining to the common man and to bring citizen concerns to the notice of both the state and central Government. We advocate and monitor policies through the provision of information. We address various issues, such as human rights violations, environmental, health and livelihood. We analyze the root cause of the problems and try to find pragmatic solutions through our expertise that serves as early warning mechanisms and help monitor and implement various policies and programmes in the most judicious manner. We are one of the Members of GuideStar India which is India’s largest and most reliable NGO information repository. We got Special Consultative Status under the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) UN. ECOSOC and its subsidiary bodies. The Economic and Social Council is the principal organ that coordinates the economic, social and related work of the 14 United Nations specialized agencies, functional commissions and five regional commissions.
PGMAG: What is your message for world leaders?
DMM: All the World leaders must focus on improving the standard of living of its citizens and must formulate policies for the betterment of Mankind. They need to ensure peace and harmony and should desist from war. More emphasis should be given to Healthcare, Education and to science and technology. The World leaders can ensure through dialogue that there is no animosity between nations, and that every issue can be resolved bilaterally.
PGMAG: Finally, what would you say to your younger self?
DMM: I have always advocated that hard and sincere work yields positive and better results. Nothing is impossible to achieve and attain when we have a positive frame of mind. We must always be compassionate towards others and try to engage in acts of Philanthropy.
