PGMAG: MEejie, welcome to today’s interview with Lady Anita.

MEejie: Thank you for the invitation. It is a true honor to have been chosen by you Lady Anita to be featured on the cover of your beautiful magazine. I am both grateful and humbled by your gesture.

PGMAG: Please briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

MEejie: I know in the business world we are taught to state our accomplishments when asked to introduce ourselves, as that shares our wins with the world. Yes! I have been most fortunate to make great strides in my consulting, speaking and entertainment ventures. I have had the honor to be recognized locally, nationally and internationally. But the bottom line is that I am a mom who is an entrepreneur. A woman in the second half of her life who wishes to be of impact and service to others. Especially to those who for one reason or another, either willingly or by force, have put their dreams on hold to serve, care for, or support others or the ones they love. I speak of moms and dads. Military spouses, care givers, and all those who have been oppressed in life.

PGMAG: In the last 25 years of your journey as a leader, you have touched many lives through your work. Looking back, what would you say has helped you to stay true to your purpose?

MEejie: There are several things which have helped me stay, or get back on track whenever I stumble. My faith, my children, the love I have for my family, and that incessant nagging voice inside of me (my soul) that dreams of a better life, seeks adventure, triumph, and most importantly, wishes to make a positive sound contribution towards humankind.

PGMAG: We would love to know more about your unique approach (Movement Surrender Approach-MSA).

MEejie: Thank you so very much for asking this question. MSA is an alternate modality for helping deal with stress, anxiety and adverse experiences in childhood or adulthood. It was born from my need to surrender my resistance in dealing with the uncertainties and adversities in my life. It became a way for me to bring together awareness of the resources, tools and capabilities I have been born with. A way to transmute them into a practice that allows me to achieve peace and harmony. So that I can prepare myself for the world. And show up as the creator of my life rather than a victim of it.

PGMAG: As a coach, mentor and speaker; what are some of the keys to becoming more valuable in the marketplace?

MEejie: Another great question, Lady Anita! Adding value into the marketplace begins with many things. Here are three things I believe are important:

First: Seeing your own worth and owning your value. Meaning, the worth you see from within is the worth you gift others with.

The more you believe in yourself, the more you unveil the real you, and the more you preserve that integrity of who you are in everything you do; the more impactful you will be.

When you are at your best, you feel good and you are then able to improve your performance, your productivity and even surpass your potential. Then that is how you can best impact others.

Second: Working towards being of service as you make your imprints in the world. This is simply finding a win/win/win in every effort made. You, them, and the world around you. Because, I truly believe that’s why we have been born. To commune with each other and make the world a better place. What we put forth in life is exactly what we will get. We are energy. Good energy attracts good energy. Negative energy will bare more of the same. So, why not surround ourselves with the best?

Third: Always challenge yourself but don’t forget to celebrate your wins. Know your potential is far beyond that which you can fathom. Know there is no limit to your creativity.

That there’s greatness within us. Every day brings new opportunities to learn, break ground, abolish challenges and innovate. To echo the words of a great friend, Dr. Hassan Younes, “complacency kills”. So, I say, always celebrate how far you’ve come, but know that there’s a further place where you can go.

PGMAG: What is your message for world leaders?

MEejie: I would say: Be a role model. Seek to positively impact. Never lose your thirst for learning. Know that those you serve are the ones you must care for because without them, there’s no one to be led.

PGMAG: What are the top three things that you are grateful for?

MEejie: I simply love this question, Lady Anita! This is an easy one. I am most grateful for my children and my family. For the opportunity to explore my God given mind, body, soul, and talents. And I am grateful I have the health, the desire, and the support to enjoy the freedom to be who I am. In short, I am grateful for God and for my life.

PGMAG: What is your message for women in general?

MEejie: This is one great question after another. Thank you for asking such meaningful questions Lady Anita. I love working with women because I can obviously relate. My message for women in general would be: Never cease to dream. Always believe in yourself.

Ask yourself questions that position you into having power. For instance, If I could live out my dreams…; If I had the power to create my life…; If I had the power to show up in the world exactly as I am….

What would that look like, and how would it feel? Begin there! Find the clarity you need. Feel the emotions you seek. And then take the actions to make those if’s come true. You can do it! Get help if you need to. Find a mentor, a coach, a teacher, a trainer, a supporter, an investor. And don’t give up. If not you, then whom? If not now, then when? And if you try and fail. Know that’s learning you’ve just gained. So, get up and try again until you succeed.

PGMAG: Finally, what would you say to your younger self?

MEejie: This is quite a deep question. I would definitely say to my younger self, MEejie, you are born in greatness, with greatness, for greatness. Start listening to inner self. Love who you are because you are perfect just the way you have been born. Optimize your God given brain, body, mind and soul because that’s what you’ve been born to do. Then, share that with the world. Just don’t forget to make it fun!

PGMAG: Thank you so much for your time and we wish you an exciting 2023 and beyond.

MEejie: It has been an absolute delight to interact with you Lady Anita. Thank you for the work you do. Thank you for empowering people across the world. Thank you for giving people a voice. And for giving me the opportunity to share mine.
