CHUDNEY ROSS, STYLE POWER, YOUNG HOLLYWOOD. BUSINESS MOGUL I am a creative spirit, Growing up the daughter of a FASHION ICON, one can’t help but be drawn to the world of FASHION.... MY FAVORITE SHOES

My favorite shoes: Louboutin, Michael Kors, YSL, Jimmy Choos, Steven by Steve Madden

LOVE JEWELRY Judith Ripka, Seamstress For The Band by my best friend Pearl Aday

A Home By The Beach, Two Great Dogs, Style Power Of Chudney Ross Chudney Ross lives in a bright, spacious, Fung-Shui home in Venice Beach. Only a short walk from the bustling Venice Boardwalk, her home is quiet, soothing and has the feel of a modern New York City loft. She greets The Power Player team with an electric smile and big bright eyes. Looking at her leggy figure, it is apparent this Fashionista knows how to walk the runway. Chudney’s two dogs Brody and Peanut are excited to have our company as well. (Peanut is a TV dog and has appeared in numerous shows including Ugly Betty). Our Power Player glam squad Derekshawn and Jason, from The Four Season Salon made their way to a quiet corner in Chudney’s room to prepare her for her glamour shots. During the course of the make-up and hairstyling, we all felt as though we were visiting our best friend. Truly, like a friend we have known for years. As the questions began to roll, Chudney spoke highly about her mother, Diana Ross, and how she instilled positive values with her and the Ross siblings. Chudney considers her fashion style pretty laid back. By day, she lives in her Free City sweat pants and Ugg boots, but, by night she's a girly girl. She states, “You will very rarely ever see me in jeans. I pride myself on being FASHION FORWARD and HIP, but with my own twist." Right now, she loves young, hip designers. Some of her favorite fun and flirty dress designers are Alice and Olivia, Meghan Fabulous, Samora and Julia Clansey. She loves to wear party dresses and heels. She especially loves short mini dresses to show off her legs, which she thinks is one of her best features. Chudney, however, is a bit of a frugal fanny. She loves to get a good bargain on a dress and then pair it with designer accessories. "I'll rock a Forever 21 dress with a pair of Louboutins and a Balenciaga bag or leggings and tank from Target with Prada boots and leather jacket." Her favorite high end designers: Prada, Herve Leger, Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs. Her favorite shoes: Louboutin, Michael Kors, YSL, Jimmy Choos, Steven by Steve Madden. Her favorite Jewelry: Judith Ripka, Seamstress For The Band by my best friend Pearl Aday. Last, She loves Judith Lieber purses. She was first drawn to fashion as a child. Sitting backstage in her mom’s dressing room, Chudney would watch wide eyed as her mom transformed from sweatpants clad Mommy to GLITTERING SUPERSTAR DIVA. Chudney would keenly watch as Diana applied on the makeup, the long lashes, brushed on the bright red nail polish and fluffed the magnificent mane of hair. "As she slipped into the sparkling beaded gown and the matching designer stiletto heels, she became my own life-size doll." Growing up the daughter of a FASHION ICON, one can’t help but be drawn to the world of FASHION. Chudney says that even though she was awkward and shy growing up (she hid behind tortoise rimmed glasses, frizzy braids, baggy clothes and sneakers), when no one was around her inner FASHION DIVA emerged. While on tour with her mom, she was assigned to help out with the wardrobe team and pick up beads from off

mane of hair. While on tour with her mom, she was assigned to help out with the wardrobe team and pick up beads from off the stage after every performance. When the backstage dressing room was empty, she would mount the vanity table and paint her own lips, cheeks and nails. She would drape myself in the gowns of beads and sparkles and shuffle around in the stiletto heels. "Posing in the mirror", Chudney states, “I was a FASHION DIVA, though to everyone else I looked like a little girl playing dress up”.

POWER BEAUTY PICKS FROM THE EDITOR

Chudney went to Georgetown U in D.C. where she studied English. After being bitten by the acting bug she performed with an improvisational troupe. She then hosted red-carpet events for Young Hollywood. Right now her focus is on writing a children’s book about a young girl and her life experiences – reminiscent of Beverly Cleary books. She signed a deal with Harper Collins and the book should be released in 2010. Her dad, Robert Ellis Silberstein, who she affectionately calls Bob, is a former music manager/promoter who now lives in Connecticut. Today, she has become more confident and embraces the FASHIONISTA within. With modeling, she found a way to let her inner diva shine. She states, “I set her free while posing and strutting my stuff on the runway in different designers' fashions and designs”. Chudney thanks her mother for supporting her and allowing her to grow and mature in her own time. By raising her and her siblings out of LA, she was able to have a pretty normal childhood which makes her the strong, independent woman that she is today. - By L.
