BREATHABLE WINDPROOF MEMBRANE C-CHANGE™ MEMBRANE

c_change™, the new membrane technology from schoeller®, reacts to the different temperatures and activities. As soon as greater moisture is produced as a result of a higher prevailing temperature or greater body heat, the membrane structure opens and allows excess heat and water vapor to escape to the outside air. As soon as the body produces less heat/energy, and consequently less moisture, the membrane structure contracts again. Body heat is then stored causing protection from shivering and chilling.

Nature shows us how. The leaves of certain plants always stay clean because dirt cannot adhere to their finely-structured surfaces. Rain drops roll off and, at the same time, dirt particles are washed off of the leaves. This function is also known as the self-cleaning effect. Thanks to the NanoSphere® textile finishing technology, this effect can be permanently transferred to textile surfaces. Textiles that use NanoSphere® finishing technology are water, oil and dirt repellent and highly wash and abrasion resistant.

SCHOELLER® SOFTSHELL A hard-wearing softshell for cooler climates, the Bora series is designed to keep you warm against wind and moisture without over heating. Fabricated with fourway stretch material, every cutline of this series allows for maximum movement and full range of motion. This abrasion resistant shell features a windproof and water resistant laminate and schoeller®’s® revolutionary fabric technology c-change®. The c-change® fabric has the ability to actively react to your bodies changing temperature and moisture levels. The polymer structure of the c-change® membrane opens or closes in response to the corresponding activity levels. As activity levels increase, excess heat and moisture that your body generates is allowed to escape to the outside air as the polymer structure opens. During periods of LOW activity levels such as sitting and glassing, the polymer structure contracts and keeps the heat close to the body. Shivering and chilling are effectively prevented. How to measure

If possible, get a friend to help for MOST accurate measurement. For best results, use a sewing tape measure.

Raise your arms to fit tape measure around the widest part of the chest. Lower arms back down and allow tape measure to adjust. Make sure you are measuring the fullest part of your chest and across the shoulder blades for best results. DO NOT TIGHTEN TAPE MEASURE. ALLOW IT TO SIMPLY REST AGAINST BODY. Place hand on hip and bend arm at 90 degrees. Measure from mid-back down the arm to wrist.
