PERFECT SHAVING By: Flávio Costa

We know that shaving requires a lot of skill and dedication from a barber. After all, the customer who uses or wants to get all his beard is looking for a result that meets his expectations. Many times, the barber interpoense and has to give the client the option of choosing which type of beard matches more with the features of his face, but the nal decision will always be the client's. Making a beard does not [and simply putting the razor in the customer's face, there are some important preparations, such as: Safety PPE, gloves to avoid contact with blood if there is a cut, sterilized equipment, disposable sheets always and the use of to avoid any unpleasant smell next to the customer's face. Then it is always good to prepare the client's skin. Cleaning is recommended before using any type of product or cutting amine. The products must be of good quality, for example, I use Dom Diego products, they are excellent. The Shaver and shaving oil gives a refreshing sensation to the client's skin a n d m a k e m y j o b e a s i e r . "As I work with barbiturate, I exfoliate the client's skin in order to remove the dead cells and open t h e p o r e . » To shave without irritating the client's skin, safely and accurately, it takes about 40 minutes to one hour each beard. This is the time I believe to be ideal for performing good service and safety. In order to have a notion, the process of preparing to perform cleaning a beard may be more time consuming than a simple cut. We have today Barboterapia in high in the

05

barber shops of the whole world. As the name says, it is a therapy with the client, it is important to have a reserved environment, so that the client can be there in those 40 minutes an hour, to have his moment of peace of peace (forget the world). Today I only work with barboterapia in my barbershop. 70 percent of my clients are bearded, the demand is very large, and few people really are capable of developing it, since it requires training and continuous improvement. I believe that barerotherapy, through workshops and events, is coming increasingly hard in the middle of the barbershops, and customers will be able to enjoy this service that is simply fantastic, because it brings the essence of Retro barbershops with the sophistication of modern barber shops, where in addition to taking care of the beard we take care of the well-being of the client, who literally turns off for a few minutes and h a s t o t a l r e l a x a t i o n . Formerly it was only done with hot towels, until today many people still use this technique. The other and more recent process is the vaporizer, which in Europe is practically the main equipment. For with the vaporizer it is possible to do the washing and the cleaning of the skin correctly. The British once used barbiturate, the barbers were not only barbers, they were microsurgeons and they used the warm towel. When passing the cutting blade, we must respect some care as to pass rst in favor of the wire to avoid giving discomfort and irritation to the customer's skin. Then it can be done by turning or reversing. To regularize the beard, one must wash and check the pha, as it has to be treated from the inside out. Oh just come brushing, because when

TREND brushing you will already align her. You can then dene according to the customer's face the best style that matches your format. The pigmentation was created to correct imperfections in the client's beard. Of course today, many use to diversify and make freestyle styles. Since the beard in degrading, have to be very careful, as it is not for any face style. Because she tunes the client's face. I advise a customer that has a more rounded face, in a face with irregular beard. When talking about a barber shop, one has to specialize because it is not just cutting. You have to seek knowledge in Visagism, to know the types of faces, To know the correct way to make a beard. The value varies greatly from region to region, in average here in São Paulo it revolves around 60 reais for a session of barotherapy. We know that a barber shop today must be committed and worried about its client, the great majority have invested in a special space for the service of bearded, as well as skilled and specic professionals for this service.

WHAT HAPPENED?

TWO YEARS LATER... HOW IS JHONATAN KIRCHNOFF? By: Clayton Tomaz

Two Years Later, Mundo Xadrez magazine talks back to Jhonatan Kirchhoff, to know what happened in his life in these two years that is in England acting as a barber.

I've been living here for more than two years, working in the same barber shop, one of the busiest in the city, our team has 7 barbers from 5 different countries, and what's cool here in Bournemouth is a tourist town, half of my clients are English, and the other half are from all over the world, and this provided me with several challenges, I cut an Afro hair, then a blonde, then an Asian, all the same day, makes me have a culture interaction, trends are techniques from all over the world. I saw many famous barbers around the world, I had the pleasure to keep in touch and exchange Idea with several of them. Nowadays I see that in Europe in general, what dominates are still fades ... whether from scratch or not, most people still ask fade, what changes are the styles of the hairstyle. promises to be the new fashion here, are the cuts with texture on top, here we call "crop fade" that would be a fade high on the sides, with the top part forward, leaving fringe, but with a well-peaked appearance and textured know? Of course, there is still a lot of pompadour, or traditional hairstyles that require products and everything, but nowadays the most simple people do not want to spend several minutes in front of the mirror passing products and then spend the day with hair full of ointment .... nowadays a product that is on the rise is talc, a kind of "dry ointment" where you pass a kind of talc in the hair and it gives a certain volume and texture, but in a very natural way. Even with 7 barbers, here is always crowded, people here have the custom to cut once a week or every two weeks, almost no one spends a month without coming, and we are also in summer here, so the movement doubles with visitors . the branch of the barbershop here, as in all the rest of Europe and the world is booming ... do not require a lot of bureaucracy to open one, then there are many, but the competition is not so strong, the fact of being able to open easy, does anyone and we all know that to be a busy barber in a place where you have several barbershops, you always have to innovate, bring the best cut, product and service that you can.

07

WHAT HAPPENED?

As for salary here, it's like in Brazil, the more you work, the more you earn ... most places work with the old 50% commission for the barbershop and 50% for the barber, but in many places the staff rents a the chairman opens with 5 chairs for example, and rents for a xed X value, of each barber, and this all remembering that the pound, which is the currency of here, is worth around a little more than 4 reais in the Since then, I have had the pleasure of attending meetings and workshops with all Schorem staff in the Netherlands, Barber Bash of London, Julio Cesar of the United States and several educators of level world, from the most conservative and traditional to the most daring and biased. I am happy to see the growth of the barbershop, the recognition of the profession, the value that people give today, and to think that when I started 5 years ago I was even ashamed to be a barber, nowadays it is my pride, so I always think important, like what you do, and always seek to update, why you will never be 100% updated, always have new ideas, new techniques and new products, from all over the world, so it is interesting to have this relationship among the barber shops around the world ... we have to remember that it is not always a competition, there is room for everyone in the market, there is no reason for me not to exchange messages about cuts and tendencies with other barbers from other barber shops or even countries, the internet is there for this, connecting people. an example that I like very much is the barber shop Schorem, many years ago when it was still a 2-seater salon, the owner noticed a beggar who lived in the area, after some conversations exchanged, the owner decided to teach the beggar to cut hair, and know what ? nowadays the owner of the barbershop has a staff of more than 20 people between barbers working there and barbers traveling the world taking knowledge, plus a team that takes care of the ointments of his line, one of the most famous and sold in Europe. and the beggar? today you are an instructor, an international educator, representing the barber shop around the world, and when you are not doing a workshop? haha the two old friends are working side by side cutting hair at an affordable price without starvation.

CHESS COAT

IT’S HOUR SEARCH THE BEST FOR YOUR PROFESSION Did you know that Revista Mundo Xadrez and Bartearia Paletó Xadrez now has an Academy to perfect techniques and share knowledge about the world of barbershop? That's right, an Academy to train more than winners. This and the challenge of the Paletó Chess Academy, amid the expansions and openings of many barbershops not only in Brazil but throughout the world, there is a need to qualify, educate and prepare barbers to become successful entrepreneurs. So from the choice of location, professionals and teaching methodology, everything was done with much study and thinking about the modern barber and its challenges. "There are several predominant factors in the training and qualication of a barber, unfortunately the lack of preparation and qualication of many schools make unprepared barbers who, when immersed in the job market and when facing the rst difculties, become frustrated and end up giving up the profession. Being a barber goes much further than making a cut, we say fashion, we create trends, we inuence the world, we change not only the visual but the high esteem of the pessos. For all this, we realized the need to create the Academy. We chose the city of Guarulhos, to set up the headquarters, strategically, we are in an easily accessible location, near the Airport, we have partnerships with nearby hotels. The location is an appendix of the Studio of a fantastic person and one of the most recognized and requested professionals in the country, Colorimetrista Vanessa, and that will also give color courses. Every school is under the responsibility of our CEO Manos Black, simply

one of the best and most prized barber in Brazil. "I believed in the project of the Paletó Chess Academy, there are many people not only in Brazil but from abroad wanting to come to perfection, we are prepared to receive them and qualify them. We partner with the best barbers and academies in the world, we want to promote exchange and exchange of knowledge, providing our students with a unique experience, something that they have taken for a lifetime and that will give an UP in their career "(Manos Black). It is not enough to have only eagle vision, and it takes attitude! We offer qualication courses in several areas, most lasting for two days, with special prices and guarantee of learning. We also offer course packages at our partner academies abroad. INTERNATIONAL INTERVIEW

THE VIKING STRENGHT s

OF THE BARBERSHOP IN NORWAY INTERVIEW WITH HJÖRTUR SCHEVING, FOUNDER E CEO IN THE COMPANY FIT VIKINGS BARBERSHOP

Magazine -

What is the style of the cuts in your

country?

Hjörtur- Well, I would have to say that classical cuts are what is most popular in Norway or even Scandinavia. The fringe cuts are not something that we see much here. The beards are really popular here and our store strives to be one of the best barbers in the world to come and cut and shape your beard. I think about 70% of our customers have beards. Magazine -

We know that you live in one of the best places in the world, what is the requirement for the service and structure of a barber shop by the customers?

Hjörtur-

Norway has no tradition of barbers. There has never been any barber education available here, but in recent years the hairdressers have sprung up here, but then often with barbers from overseas. There is no one size ts all when it comes to barbers, I think. There are guys who just want to come in and get your cut and get out again in 15 minutes. Then there is an anther group that knows and understands the value of the barber trade and that getting that detailed detailed cut, beard or shaving takes time and is willing to spend money and time on it. We cater to the last group, guys who come here to talk to your barber and get top quality service. A haircut takes about 50min and a beard decreases another 50min. We believe that we are not only offering our customers a great haircut, but rather that we are providing an experience for them. So service is something we are proud of.

Magazine -

How much is an average cut, and do customers usually tip?

Hjörtur - In Norway, you can nd cuts in Norway of about $ 25 USD (78 reais), a bit of lottery, as your head looks like after the cut. In the Fit for Vikings Barbershop, a haircut costs about $ 90 (USD 281), beard and molding $ 90 (281 reais), or a combination of both for about $ 150 (470 reais). Tip (tip) is not usual here.

10

INTERNATIONAL INTERVIEW

Magazine-

Where do they seek qualication to become excellent barbers?

Hjörtur - As I mentioned, there is no barber education here in Norway. Many have studied in the UK or other European countries, others come from the hairdressing industry and others have been trained inside hairdressers. Fit for Vikings is, however, in the process of setting up a barber school in Norway, hopefully before the end of 2018.

Magazine - In cold periods of great intensity, as you usually do, the barbers are closed or participate in special hours? Hjörtur - No, people here are accustomed to the snow and the cold winter weather. Many of the barbers are open from 8am to 8pm, 5-6 days a week. Magazine - How important is the barber to Norwegian society?

Hjörtur - It's getting more popular and enjoyed buying men in Norway, but as I mentioned, there is not a long tradition with barbers here. Magazine -

What Viking tradition, is this cultivated in your barber shop?

Hjörtur - No, I can not say it is, not in the sense that most people associate with the Vikings. We defend the value of Scandinavian design in our interior and are

proud of our Viking heritage, but we have not raped and plundered our customers like the Vikings in the old days (laughs)

Magazine-

What do you know about Brazilian barbers?

Hjörtur - Very little I'm afraid, but I'm lucky to meet Tom Chapman well and he went there with Sindi Devitte and tells me there is incredible talent there and energy there. Sindi is coming as a guest barber to the store in January and will also do some workshops here, really looking forward to it. So I really hope that one day I can come to Brazil and present my preparation line for the Vikings and meet all the lovely and talented barbers in Brazil.

Magazine-

How did the Fit for Vikings Barbershop happen and what is the purpose of this barber? Hjörtur - I started the Fit Men's clothing brand for Vikings about 3 years ago, and the line is sold in about 15 countries through about 50-70 retail partners at the moment. So of course we sell directly to end customers through our own website and we ship to over 40 countries, including Brazil. I felt it was a natural way to open a Fit for Vikings Barbershop, built for the great success we have had with the brand so far. The barber shop also gives us credibility and supports the brand perfectly. I opened the rst store in May this year and now in December I opened the second. I could open shops here left and right, but nding good barbers to work on is really difcult here in Norway.

Magazine-

Leave a message to the

readers?

Hjörtur - It's a cliché, but follow your dreams. Do what you're passionate about and never stop learning. And last but not least, I hope to see them all soon in Brazil and if you are in Norway then go for a visit.

SOCIAL

PROJECT: “AUTISM BARBER RIDE”. My name is James Williams and I am the founder of an organization that is called the "Autism Barber Ride". I created this because of the need to help a young man with autism. I was lying on the oor with him to help him do a haircut. After a month of working with him, I saw the story all over the world. By 2015 I decided to do something to help raise awareness of autism more about haircuts because the messages I saw were clearly needed. I started autism barbers in 2016, we do not have a headquarters as we are an organization. But as founder, I am in Wales UK

I believe that the barbershop for the society in my eyes needs to be more conscious, think, imagine if this was your child and refused, when all they need is patience and understanding. When I perform autism haircuts, I set aside one hour of my time, but I also need to charge for that hour, when I'm at my barbershop to work, but families are happy to pay, because all they want is help. I would like all the barbers to be aware, and do not be afraid to help, just because they are facing differences. Autism is no different from us, just another part of the brain that works differently. Cut off ignorance and change lives!

Not only do we cut our hair, we interact, we play and communicate with them and their families. A barber is not only a barber, he is a link between society, and we can together do more each time, and ght for an ever better society. The service works when we create our Autism Day special events, families can book places for the kids on our site with the selected barbers that day, families show up and we cut our hair in the open space in the lounge. It is a stress-free experience, which may mean that the Barber will certainly be cutting the child's hair, whether on the oor, outside, wherever you do if you feel comfortable. The Autism Barbers assembled a Facebook page to help spread and nurture more barbers and families. We provide some stickers for barbershops, where it is written: we have autistic barbers assemble stickers that you put in your store window show your autism friendly, these can be bought my Facebook page As a founder my job is to attract, capture a broad audience, from Facebook videos, media press that led to more than a couple of million views, the team involved like to be part of this family and help make a difference for a family where an autistic person lives.

SAMARA IZZO THE LIFE OF DE

A BARBER WOMAN Byr: Clayton Tomaz

Mundo Xadrez magazine is chatting with some of the most requested Barbeiras for the workshops in Brazil in 2018, that's right, we're talking to Samara Izzo, who opens the doors of her house and reveals a little bit of her Barbeira life for us! Check out: "The idea of becoming a barber came from necessity. I was from a circus family, and by accident my father came to die, we were in Tocantins, and I, together with my mother and my sisters, came to Minas to join my mother's family, to start over, and soon I started to look for another alternative of work no more in the circus, after several jobs, I arrived at a point that I asked myself if I was happy and was not, praying I sought in the barber shop this happiness that completes me today. I see that in the world of the barbershop the prejudices on the part of client this is ending, but unfortunately on the part of professionals of colleagues of work this still happens. And unfortunately many barbers in social

13

networks always have one or the other that ends up confusing things and even disrespecting and committing harassment. The barbershop for me represents a solution, a way of expressing itself, an artistic form, something very proud. The workshop evolves and opens the minds of all involved, this adds

INTERVIEW convey a positive energy, and to make people arouse their sensitive sides to art, and to feel capable, everything is a matter of them running behind. I have several idols and every day I enjoy it more, I always look for inspiration in them, I appreciate their publications, the way the cut was photographed, the subtitles of their cuts, I always seek to study their techniques and learn from them, ve years from now I want to be an international professional and bring more knowledge to people, not teach only cuts, but, train professionals.

I really want to have the opportunity to stay outside Brazil, I want to live outside to be able to express my art and learn a lot from the cultures, and techniques from abroad. I still do not have any specialization outside of Brazil, but I have already held workshops with many people who came from outside Brazil and held workshops here in our country. I've searched a lot of knowledge out there, and I try to bring what they're doing different there, here. The advice I leave to those who are beginning, is to focus, persist and not waste time, our dreams are now and deserve to be realized now. Be that professional who wants to be in the future, leave prejudice aside, have respect for everyone, value people, worry about being a person who values everyone who feels in his chair, not only see money, but grow as a person, do its clients do, not only aim to collect does on YouTube or Instagram, but in its barber shop.

Very little. I love Dubai. I felt welcome to U.A.E by everyone here. Last week was National Day, 46 years since the formation of the U.A.E., and the people of the Emirates were very proud by this date, there is a diversication of cultures here. I have a variety of

INSPIRATION

THE ART THAT COMES FROM

GREECE ‘‘EXAMPLE OF DEDICATION AND LOVE FOR ART”

Barbers Champions magazine is pleased to present Spiridon Kaparakis, one of the best barbers in Greece and who has been an example to the new generation of barbers, for his dedication and love of shaving art.

Magazine - The profession of barber was born in ancient Greece, a time of great mythologies that until today are part of the history of humanity. What is Barber Shop in Greece like today? Spiridon- In fact, Greece can boast of pioneering the barber industry since ancient times. This is reected in the art: sculptors used to represent historical gods and warriors with nely cut beards and side trimmings. This shows that the artists were inspired by the then barbers. Nowadays, barbers in Greece are multifaceted. We maintain ancient Greek art, but there are emerging schools following the redened English, American and Dutch barber trends.

Magazine - Do barbers in Greece keep the Old Barber Cultures? What are the chains and cutting trends most commonly used today?

Spiridon- Yes, they do. They remain focused on layer cuts and at coverage. Recently, with the industry expansion of barber tools, they are more inclined to make razor cuts.

Revista- Tell us a bit about Spiridon Kaparakis and the Barber?

17

Spiridon- I started my career as a hairdresser and conducted formal studies at a hairdresser's school accredited here in Greece. I have started a successful career in hairdressing and coloring. Subsequently, having developed a business acumen in the management of the hairdressing sector, I decided to open my own hairdresser / barber gourd; as well as becoming an educator of the barber business. This new venture proved to be successful.

important role in reducing trends in the world. What are the trends for 2018?

Spiridon- Probably the tourist industry

slightly moving away from the tendencies of the beard. In fact, the new features of the "European man" for 2018 do not have a beard. There are still the long nishes and the fades plus the cultures and the textures. But again, shaving is not about trends. It's about style. It is about the perspective of a man of the world; and this can not be inuenced by current trends.

Magazine - How does the Lord classify the barbershop in Greece? Spiridon- It is the male experience totally revitalizing, daily, weekly or monthly. Greek clients realize they need to redene themselves and that a barber can be a trusted advisor.

Magazine- Do you know any Brazilian barbers? Spiridon- I really like the work of Esdras Silva Parber, who now lives in Portugal. He is an immaculate barber. I have recently formed a team of Romanian barbers who aspire to work here or to open their own homebased business. My expertise lies in teaching techniques in haircuts and wetshaving.

Magazine - What can not miss in a Greek barbeari?

Spiridon- Greek barbers like to talk a lot.

for the barber and how long have they attended the barber (how many days do they take to return)?

Magazine - Leave a message to all the barbers who are reading your interview?

Spiridon-

Obviously, the Greeks and their barbers have developed a deep-seated relationship over the years. Imagine that a barber can be a companion who stays more than a girlfriend; or a wife. My own ability and ad is not in marketing. Customer feedback is the

TOM CHAPMAN INSPIRATION FOR THE WORLD By: Clayton Tomaz

Tom Chapman is one of the leading barbers in the UK. In 2015, he was a nalist for WAHL's British Barber of the Year, and also made it to the nals of The Great British Barber Bash contest. With their team at the Tom Chapman Hair Design Salon in Torquay, UK, they create very innovative and stylish hairstyles and haircuts. The group lives on a powerful mission: exceeding expectations rather than simply satisfying them. He is also a member and leader of The Lions Barber Collective, an international organization of great barbers who have come together to help raise awareness about suicide prevention. Today we at Mundo Chess Magazine have the honor to present a bit of the history of this great inspiration and example to the barbers from all over the world

Magazine Chess World

- Tom how did you come up with the idea of being a barber and do you expect to achieve such success worldwide?

Tom Champman - I became a barber because when I started my career on Tony and Guy, cutters were not allowed in the salon. I liked punk rock and alternative hairstyles and sat with my friends. So I needed a couple of clippers to create a Mohawk look for my friends, I bought a pair and started practicing my friends in my kitchen. So, because of that, I was the only comfortable hair stylist in the room, where all the guys who came through the door ended up in my chair. It meant that I practiced a lot and discovered my love of male hair and began to

devote more time to it. I never believed that I would have this coverage of my career on a global scale, I am really humble and surprised every time someone wants to know about what I do. I feel that if it was not for the use of social media, I would still be unknown and would cut hair in the small seaside town of Torquay, Devon, UK. Never underestimate the correct use of the internet!

Magazine Chess World - Wondering about a recording of your own for the BBC, tell us a little about this story and what it represents for you and the barbershop?

INTERNATIONAL Tom Champman- 2018 is only halfway! I have the second book being released before the end of the year and a lot of work with JRL Clippers, the Quartered Steel scissors and, most importantly, the creation of the Fit For Viking Academy here in Norway! I think the important thing is to keep trying, do not stay put, look for something awesome and put the hours in. Although you should take some time. Now I take time to meditate every night and also the time with family is so important, after all for them in the long run, right? Magazine Chess World - Wondering about a recording of your own for the BBC, tell us a little about this story and what it represents for you and the barbershop?

Tom Champman- The Lions Barbers' Collective is something so close to me! I started in 2015 and wanted to work for the prevention of suicide and mental well-being because I lost a friend to suicide without knowing that there was something wrong! As barbers, we have a unique privileged position of trust in society. It's time to take advantage of this to help the people of our community.

Magazine Chess World - You've been to Brazil recently, what do you think of the Brazilian barbers and intend to return to our country?

Tom Champman- I went to São Paulo and Campo Grande and I just loved it! The food, the scenery, but most importantly, the people. The Brazilian barbers were so interested in listening and had so much strength to learn that the rest of the world is better to have eyes in Brazil! I would go back in a heartbeat, I love the country.

Magazine Chess World

- because the British barber shop is standing out all over the world, what's the secret?

Tom Champman - I think it's the historical tradition that involves the British barber shop. For generations, the British hair industry has been at the forefront of fashion and established trends alongside the huge and successful UK music scene, creating new hair idols all the time! Some of the more timeless iconic styles have emerged from the UK music scene.

Magazine Chess World - Describe yourself in a few words?

Tom Champman- I hope that I am kind and generous. I also want to remain rm and real to myself, family, and friends. Finally, I try to be brave, many of the things I've done terrify me. I work on stage, photo shoots, write a book and denitely my TED Talk earlier this year. I suffered with anxiety, but I managed to go through these things and survive, and always for the better. So lush to do the things that scare you.

Magazine Chess World – What cuts do most people ask you to perform? Where did the Lions come from? Tom Champman- At the moment, in the UK, there are many harvests and loose pompoms of surfers, often with heavy mixtures and weight on the parietal ridge. The name lions came from the fact that the original barbers were from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, a bit like the Lions Rugby team, so that's why the name came up. Revista Mundo Xadrez - It looks like the year 2018 is perfect for you, has launched a book, several TV programs, workshops and trips, what to expect for 2019 and what are the big challenges?

STORY

MY STORY!

Richard Teex

Richard Teixeira

It's a bit difcult to talk about yourself, I remember when I was a kid, my friends telling me that I had been an inspiration to them at some point, I mean, the closest friends, I remember well the feeling of motivation that I I felt when I heard this, it was then that things began to happen. Born from a humble family, the son of a retired worker and a Hairdresser, I always saw my mother working with dedication towards her clients, she always encouraged me to pursue this profession, but still I did not see myself as a hairdresser or something . As a teenager, I tried to follow some professions, in the midst of my attempts to t into the job market, I made some cheats, like handing out yers, worked in a car wash, also as a sergeant assistant, and nally, 3 years working with registration in portfolio in some private companies. But I still had not found anything in those jobs, that would awaken my desire to pursue a career. Then I remembered that from childhood, I was passionate about Art in general, for the "hidden" meaning, enchanting and mysterious in each of them. I liked to draw, to create some kind of art, whatever it was, I thought, it would be nice to work on something that I could apply to my art, I think that is why every cut I see as a unique work. It was then that I started getting to know the barbers on YouTube, I remembered the incentives my mother gave me about this profession, I saw some videos of different male cuts, and I realized that I could apply my own art there.

I started to inspire myself by seeing the work of sensational barbers on Youtube and other social networks, national and international, some with little, others with a lot of time in the barber shop, like Eduardo Muller, DillBlack, Alan Calixto, Wester Barber, Arod, Rob The Original and Sky Salon, nally beginning to learn more about barbershops in 2012, I took it seriously, I wanted to recreate those cuts and hairstyles tops to make them look as possible as possible with the original, using it as a sort of self-taught class (laughs ). It was when there was a Barber Battle in my town and I decided to participate, to my surprise I nished the battle in the rst place. After that I began to post my work on social networks, in which I ended up receiving lots of praise and admiration and nally some proposals. An event producer invited me to give some Workshops, just imagine, I was a barber with a little more than two years of profession giving classes for barbers of various ages, I felt really honored and accepted the proposal. I started to teach and I took a little liking for the thing, because I was passing my art to the others and still winning for it. But I had and still have the notion that in the barber shop, you never know everything, so I always try to learn new things or perfect what I already know. At this time (2014), I worked as a clerk in a

nearby town, and shortly after work, I still worked at my house until 00:00 hours, working every day of the week from 8:00 am to noon night of the same day, in this way I doubled my learning and can accelerate the same. In 2015, due to the repercussion of my work on social networks, I was invited to teach at the renowned Whal Clipper Brasil company, which I have a lot of affection and gratitude for until today, I learned a lot by teaching classes in several states through Brazil with one of best companies in the industry. But since everything in life has a time, I decided to start "walking with my own legs", to leave the comfort zone, because as far as I know, the comfort zone can be dangerous, preventing us from evolving. So in 2015, I added a nice piece of money and planned to open my own Barber Shop, using my name with the common name "Teex" derived from my surname (Teixeira), forming Richard Teex, with my style in all aspects of it, thinking about my clients invested in a comfort for them like comfortable armchairs for those who waited for the cut and a massaging chair for those who were cutting hair or shaving have a unique experience. I had a publication n Intagran that surpassed all expectations, it happened that more than twenty three thousand comments and about four million views, this was fantastic!

of the barbers I most admired the great Eduardo Muller, invited me to teach one of my classes to his students through a video, to be invited to record a "video lesson" for the students of the my master, meant that I was on the right path. I am very grateful for the conversation that I and Eduardo Muller had that day, because due to his advice I started to think in a different way, after all the guy is an example of humility and success. Today I have him as a friend, not only him, but also others like Dill Black, Alan Calixto, who also accompany my work, moreover, how to describe the sensation of knowing that barbers monsters like the ones that you both admire also pass to you go along? I started giving workshops in my own salon and thank God, whenever I do an event of this type, I can ll all the vacancies. Anyway, today I think sky is the limit, I receive many messages of affection and admiration from people who accompany my work on social networks and this gives me a lot of motivation to continue. If someone asks me if I have plans for the future, I will certainly answer yes! I am certainly working to form a successful team, I have teamed up with friends who had visionary ideas and hunger to grow, one of them is my brother Rian, who is already more and more top in his cuts, and despite having only 17 years think of being much more than what is already, another of my partners is Willy a friend of times who even writes this text while I narrate, this guy is like a brother, very humble, I learned a lot with him and Renan, my cousin who grew up with me and is also very keen to grow, so that I can maintain the quality that is recognized by people today, I trained my team from scratch. I feel that the brand "Teex" has much more to offer. This is my Story, I continue to write every day. COURT OF JACA

MORE THAN A HISTORY, THE ORIGIN AND THE LEGACIES

More than a History, the Origin and the legacies. The World Xadrez magazine interviews Clay Luan, one of the creators of the Eumandocortedojaca Page, which has more than 500,000 followers and has been gaining more and more followers every day. This page talks about the origin of the cut of Jaca, as well as the birth of large cuts that are reproduced throughout the world and that originated in the communities of Rio de Janeiro, the page was an inspiration for the lm Deixa Na Regua. The page was created in 2012 by Clay Luan, Lucas Lima and Gabriel Silva with intuition to divulge the cuts made by Ed Du Corte that ended up becoming inspiration for many barbers due to the differentiated cuts and drawings made by him at the time. the repercussion was great and we began to receive photos daily in the rst months and this was how we kept posting pictures of other barbers. "jaca cut" means the alligator favela that started there that trend. In less than a year we hit 100,000 people on the page. Due to the page announcing the barbers at the time, we revealed many current barbers such as Giliane Coviack, Deivao, cutting BG and many others that are reference in Brazil. We currently hit half a million followers.

The lm Deixa na Régua produced by Emílio Domingo was inspired by the page to make the lm that counted with the presence of 3 members that was Ed Du Corte, Deivao and Belo Du Visual that was a success.Currently Clay Luan and Lucas Lima have also become barbers because they are very close to the barbershops and we end up enjoying the profession and gaining a lot of support from our followers

The barbershop is not only in the community, but in general has been taking Brazil as not just a profession, but as an art in the hair. In Brazilians we are surprised by the trends here that are also being used abroad, I see that there is a strong exchange, and that Brazilians no longer seek to reproduce the cuts from abroad and rather the opposite has happened, it is very proud of us. I already think of presenting myself in Brazil all that it is my idea to take and show how important the appearance of the page in Brazil was. For those who wish to follow our trajectory and to interact more with the cut of Jaca, there is the link of the page.
