High Tea

Monday, April 29, at 3 p.m. Lodge Multipurpose Room $40 per person Masonic Village Catering and “A Tea Affair” from Lititz will be offering a three-course High Tea prior to the band’s visit. Lancaster British Brass Band "When Thunder Calls" Monday, April 29, at 7 p.m. Brossman Ballroom

This 28-member band performs transcripts of classics, marches, hymns, popular music arrangements, solos and original compositions. Dr. Stephen Arthur Allen conducts. This concert is in honor of Robert and Catherine Spangenberg and all first responders. A free-will offering for the Landstuhl Hospital Care Project, a non-profit organization that provides comfort and relief items for military members who become injured in the Middle East, will take place.

This five-session course teaches basic story structure and how to use props, movement, description and dialogue to add interest during telling. Instructor and resident Dennis Strain, a former member of Philadelphia’s Patchwork: A Storytelling Guild, has taught this workshop for 15 years. “Then Sings My Soul” features four professional vocalist from the Lancaster area. The program highlights historical moments in Reverend Billy Graham’s ministry and the history of the most famous hymns - many of which were written as a result of tragic, trying circumstances, by someone saved at a Crusade, or made famous by the Crusades themselves. The program features favorites such as “How Great Thou Art,” “I’d Rather Have Jesus,” “His Eye is on the Sparrow” and “Just As I Am." Location: Deike Auditorium

Founded in 2015 and located in Washington Boro, Raven Ridge Wildlife Rehabilitation Center offers rehabilitation services for native birds and mammals. This DVD lecture series presents the science and history leading up to today’s spirited discussion on climate change. New Widows' Guild Outreach Program Finds Success in 2018 Nicholas Mahler, director of sales, admissions and outreach The Masonic Outreach Program, administered by the Masonic Villages, provides direction, education and information on a myriad of helpful health care services and government and state programs to support Pennsylvania Masons, their families, widows and others who need it. It also operates a free Loan Closet in Elizabethtown, which offers durable medical equipment (such as walkers, wheelchairs, shower chairs, etc.) on a shortterm loan basis to individuals in need. In addition, it hosts caregiver support groups at Masonic Village. If you or someone you know is in need of support from the Masonic Outreach Program, call 1-800-462-7664 for more information. Widows' Guild Masonic Village recently established a new outreach program, which focuses on creating a membership and providing supportive programs for the widows of

Pennsylvania Masons. This program is appropriately titled “The Widows’ Guild.” We hosted 10 widows’ events in 2018, developing relationships and expanding our membership to 904 members! Women who attend the events receive their Guild membership and Blue Slipper pins (pictured above) while learning about Masonic Outreach services that could be useful to them. Widows attend events with a neighbor, friend, child or adult grandchild, all of whom are realizing the importance of recognizing these special ladies. Members share contact information with each other and natural leaders form local groups and make plans. Many widows find comfort in learning about the resources offered. A number of Masons have reached out with future plans to honor widows from their lodges, and Masonic Villages will continue to nurture the program so it is accessible to all Pennsylvania Masonic widows by hosting by hosting more luncheons and events in 2019.

The form and a $10 fee, which gives you access to most events, lunch Monday – Wednesday and a T-shirt, are due April 1 to the Activities Office. A schedule of events will also be given at the time of registration.
