NOTE FROM ADMINISTRATION
Village Connect Update Mark Eyer, director of retirement living
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could go to one place to get most of the information you need about Masonic Village? Well there is - the Village Connect Portal. The Village Connect Portal is a free “resident website” that was created to help you find what you are looking for and help connect you to on-campus friends. Currently, 375 residents have signed up for Village Connect. An Internet connection and an electronic device (like a computer, smartphone or tablet) are all you need to access Village Connect. If you need assistance setting up the portal on your device, call Margaret at ext. 14504. Here’s what you will find there: Menus: The restaurants’ and cafés’ menus, as well as seasonal specials, are all at your fingertips so you can find the one that meets your needs. Notices: Look here for time-sensitive or urgent information. Resources
• Resident Handbook • Shuttle Schedule • Pharmacy information and hours • Home Care, Home Health and Hospice brochures
News
• The full brochure and renderings of the Townhomes at Sycamore
• Layouts for the soon-to-bebuilt Compass Apartments
• Sell Chapel bulletins, "Village Voice," "Village
Living," the Masonic Village Hospice newsletter and Masonic Children's Home's magazine
• Resident Association Minutes • Campus map – under the “Community” tab. Photos: Some very gifted photographers live in our community. Enjoy their photos and others (including shots of the Townhomes from 150 feet above) here. Work Request: Did you know that you can now put in work requests through Village Connect? It couldn’t be easier. Resident Directory: You have access and the ability to contact residents living here. You can even search by first or last name. Events: All the activities, trips, wellness opportunities, etc. are available for you to view and put on your Village Connect Portal calendar. Starting this month, you will see some activities/events with “Village Connect” written beside them. For those events only, you can sign up directly through Village Connect. Just select one of those events and hit the “Sign Up” button to register. Look for more events to sign up for in the coming months. We expect that you will be able to submit vacation forms, view your dining dollar balances and transactions and possibly order takeout directly from Village Connect later in 2019! So, if you don’t have Village Connect, now is the time to get connected!
