Designed to work your entire body, this class will benefit individuals who are looking for an active cardiovascular workout with intervals of strength, flexibility and range-of-motion exercises.
Tai Chi

Tai Chi has been described as meditation in motion, gentle flowing movement performed in a slow, focused manner. Anyone can participate, as Tai Chi places minimal stress on muscles and joints. Therefore, it is especially suitable and beneficial for older adults. The benefits of Tai Chi include decreased stress, increased energy and improved flexibility and balance.

TRIPLE DECKER EGGNOG MONTE CRISTO INGREDIENTS 2 tbsp. honey or Dijon mustard
INSTRUCTIONS 1 pinch each nutmeg and cinnamon
sugar and cinnamon in a shallow rimmed dish or pie plate. Unwrap the sandwiches and dip in the eggnog mixture, turning them to coat both sides thoroughly. Melt 1/2 the butter in a large nonstick skillet or electric skillet over medium heat. Add the sandwiches and cook until they are golden, about 3 - 4 minutes. Add remaining butter, flip the sandwiches and brown until golden, about 3 more minutes. Cut sandwiches into quarters. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with heated cranberry sauce for dipping.

Mix the mustard and mayonnaise in a small bowl. Lay out 3 slices of bread. Brush each slice with some of the mixture. Top each slice with 1 slice each of Swiss cheese, turkey, ham and 1/2 slice of Gouda or Munster cheese. Cover with another slice of bread and brush with mixture; top each sandwich with another slice each as above. Brush the remaining 3 bread slices with the mixture and place mustard side down on top of the sandwiches. Trim off crusts.

Wrap each sandwich tightly with plastic wrap to keep them compact. Chill in refrigerator at least 30 minutes and up to 6 hours.

Join fellow artist/resident Dick Wagner for a four-week workshop on Basic Drawing. Learn how to see and refine your drawing into the basic five elements of shape, use perspective to add depth or distance and learn the principles of design and construction. You will leave the class with a drawing of your choosing.

Pennsylvania Trolley Museum Friday, Jan. 12 12:15 p.m. $11
The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum came to Chartiers Township, Washington County, in February 1954 with three trolleys and a dream that was born in 1941. Today, that dream is a reality. The museum boasts a collection of nearly 50 cars, over 600 members worldwide, 150 active volunteers and over 30,000 visitors each year. The Frick Art Museum: The Red Dress

A collaborative embroidery project, The Red Dress was conceived by British artist Kirstie Macleod as an artistic platform for women around the world — many of whom are vulnerable and live in poverty — to tell their personal stories through embroidery. The dress, which has toured the globe since 2009, features contributions from 380 artists from 51 countries and has become a representation of border-defying unity and selfexpression.
