Rainbow “Get Acquainted” Service Program
Formal Banquet & Opening
An exciting opportunity for 7 Rainbow Girls from Western Pennsylvania to learn more about Rainbow while playing games, enjoying refreshments, and mingling with Order of Eastern Star Grand Officers for a service project held at the Masonic Village in Sewickley. More of these interactive and mentoring experiences will be planned in the future to help fill the void that many Assemblies have with mostly younger members and few youth mentors because of the challenges resulting from the COVID pandemic.
New Youth Leaders for Job’s Daughters
On April 6th at the annual Miss Job’s Daughters Scholarship Pageant, Delaney Stains from Bethel 16 Chambersburg, was elected Miss Job’s Daughter and Miss Congeniality, and Samantha Boyer of Bethel 12 Gettysburg was elected Miss Junior Job’s Daughter. During Jurisdictional Bethel Meeting on May 18th, Maggie Woodring of Bethel 21 Butler was selected Grand Bethel Honor Queen.
Scouting & DeMolay: Working Together for the Community
In a tremendous show of the cooperation that can and should exist between the Scouting program and the Order of DeMolay, Mason Barrick, a two-time Past Master Councilor of Elizabethtown Chapter, invited his DeMolay brothers to partner with his Scout Troop, Troop 97, Londonderry Township, in his Eagle Scout Project: the erection of bat boxes at the Swatara Beagle Club. Scouts and DeMolays worked together, side by side, in raising funds for the project at a car wash, and, also, in the actual erection of the bat houses.
