Brossman Ballroom, Salon I Miranda Moore, age 25, was crowned Miss Pennsylvania 2023 at the historic Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York. Miranda is an environmental engineer and graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania. She hopes to obtain a master’s degree in nonprofit leadership from the University of Pennsylvania and become a professionally licensed engineer. Take Action in Fashion, her community service initiative, raises awareness of and provides solutions for the increasing consequences the fashion industry has on our people, our planet and our health. The Penn State Grey Lions are proud to welcome Miss Moore to our campus!

Do you take a lot of photos with your smartphone or tablet? Do you just point and shoot? Join Sandi Hathaway for some tips and information about making your photos even better than they already are. Don’t know what to do with the photos that you have? We’ll talk about those options, too. The class will last about 40 minutes; there will be time for questions. History of Conflict in the Middle East
MONDAY, APRIL 15, 10:30 A.M.

The news today seems filled with terrorist incidents in the Middle East caused by statesponsored actors and/or non-governmental groups. This talk will examine the historical causes of terrorism in the region, from Biblical times through the colonial period to the immediate years following WWII, to understand the religious, political and ethnic reasons for the major actors involved in today’s Middle Eastern terrorism. This will be a non-judgemental talk about the subject, focusing on specific reasons for today’s Middle Eastern conflict.

2024 LANCASTER SENIOR GAMES
The 2024 Senior Games will be held May 6 – 10 at Spooky Nook Sports.
Since starting in 1989, thousands of athletes have participated in the Lancaster Senior Games, and we want to add you to that list! Lancaster County residents ages 55 and over participate in sporting events and recreation activities, competing for medals within various age brackets.
New this year, you can register online for a discounted registration fee of $13 at lancseniorgames.org. If you do this, please indicate you live at Masonic Village. If you prefer, you can still register through Masonic Village. Simply pick up a registration form at the Clubhouse Information Desk, GLH Transportation Desk or the Baird Wellness Center, and return it to the Activities Department, JB Clubhouse. The registration fee of $15 is due by April 10, which enables you to compete in an unlimited number of events and includes a T-shirt. Northeastern High School Honor Bus is a student-organized group that coordinates bus trips in the spring and fall to Washington, D.C., to visit the World War II, Korean and Vietnam Memorials and Arlington National Cemetery. They welcome veterans of ANY era and active-duty military members to join them on this day of gratitude. All veterans will be provided with a T-shirt, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
While Northeastern High School recognizes the sacrifices of military families, this trip is for veterans only. Students and volunteers are available to provide assistance and support, so each veteran has a memorable and rewarding experience.
To participate, please complete an application (available at the Clubhouse Information Desk), and return it to Jennifer Stuckey, Activities Department, by Monday, April 1.

ROOSTER WOODSHOP
Masonic Village Rooster Woodshop is located on the corner of Freemason Drive and Umbaugh Drive. The showroom is open Monday through Friday, from 8 – 11 a.m. and 1 – 3 p.m. It is also open on Saturday, from 8 – 11 a.m. There are many assorted items produced by the members. All items on display are for sale, and all Masonic Village residents and employees receive a 15% discount on a showroom item priced $100 or more. The shop can produce custom furnishings and novel items from wood, and members can also perform minor repairs to furniture upon request. Scan the QR code for a link to our Facebook page.
