Allentown Band SATURDAY, DEC. 9, 2 P.M. DEIKE AUDITORIUM The Allentown Band has accumulated numerous honors and awards over the years from various state and national music and music educators’ associations. Ronald Demkee joined the Allentown Band in 1964 as the featured tuba soloist and was elected conductor in 1977. We are honored to have the Allentown Band perform their Holiday Concert for us.

Liederkranz Chorus Holiday Concert

The Lancaster Liederkranz is a German singing society and cultural organization, established in 1880 to promote and perpetuate German singing, dancing, music, language, foreign exchange and culture for its members and their guests. After immigrating to new lands, Germans established an essential part of their musical tradition by forming German singing societies, the name of which translates to “wreath of songs.”

Music Merrymakers Present “All Around the World It’s Christmastime!” THURSDAY, DEC. 14, 6:30 P.M. Brossman Ballroom, Salon I
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and nothing ushers in festive feelings quite like coming together and singing or hearing Christmas songs and carols. Celebrated around the world in 160 countries, it is a special holiday celebration! Join the Music Merrymakers as they share songs from far and wide to spread holiday cheer. Wreaths Across America SATURDAY, DEC. 16, 1 P.M. Sell Chapel
We need your assistance, as each December, on National Wreaths Across America Day, it is our mission to “Remember, Honor and Teach.” Join for a ceremony honoring our Masonic Village veterans with a laying of wreaths in our cemetery for veterans buried there and escorting and displaying wreaths for those interred in the Columbarium. A ceremony will take place at 1 p.m., in the Sell Chapel to recognize our deceased veterans, placing wreaths at the Hall of Honor adjacent to the chapel. Following the ceremony, volunteers who are able may then proceed to the cemetery by shuttle bus to assist in the laying of wreaths. Volunteers are needed for both sites to help escort and lay the wreaths of honor.
Westminster Ringers Hand Bell Choir

The Westminster Ringers and Accelerando Ensembles were formed to provide gifted musicians with the opportunity to play advanced handbell repertoire at the highest possible level of musical sensitivity and technical clarity. Their program, “Come On, Ring Those Bells,” celebrates the sounds of the holiday season.
Geriactors Christmas Show MONDAY, DEC. 18, 1 P.M. GLH Solarium
The Geriactors Readers Theater will spread seasonal joy with their annual performance. This show will be repeated on Friday, Dec. 22, at 1 p.m., in the Keystone Room.
Jay Smar’s Ol’ Tyme Country Christmas MONDAY, DEC. 18, 2 P.M. Keystone Room
Back by popular demand, Jay Smar returns for the holidays. He will perform familiar Christmas songs preceded by their origin, as well as easy “bluegrass” Christmas singalongs, a Christmas song written by a monk in 1646 and a guitar instrumental version of “What Child is This?” And what country program would be complete without some flat foot fiddlin’ and singin’?
Anything But Quiet, Ladies A Capella Group TUESDAY, DEC. 19, 7 P.M. Deike Auditorium
Anything But Quiet is a six-voice women’s a cappella ensemble that loves to sing and share music with their local community. This concert will include lush a cappella arrangements of familiar holiday carols like “In the Bleak Midwinter,” as well as some Christmas favorites sung in new ways, such as a jazzy “Carol of the Bells” and “Jingle Bells” gone awry.

Classical pianist Jim Correnti returns to perform your holiday favorites. Jim studied at Juilliard School as a scholarship student of Adele Marcus, receiving his Bachelor of Music degree in 1970. He has been a soloist with the Garden State Philharmonic Orchestra and the Plainfield Symphony (NJ), is director of keyboard activities at Eastern University and teaches piano at Philadelphia Biblical University.

When the Lemon Drop Kid accidentally cheats gangster Moose Moran (Fred Clark) out of his track winnings, the Kid promises to repay Moose the money by Christmas. Creating a fake charity for “Apple Annie” Nellie Thursday, the Kid tricks his gang into donning Santa suits and “collecting dough for old dolls,” like Nellie, who have nowhere to live. Located in the Freemasons Cultural Center, the Baird Wellness Center offers an array of cardiovascular and strength equipment, functional training, personal training and group fitness classes. Massage therapy and wellness workshops on mind, body and spirit are also offered. Open daily, from 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. Staff are available Mon. – Fri., 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Group exercise classes are broadcast on MVTV Monday through Friday, in the morning. Please purchase punch cards at the Baird Wellness Center. Punch cards are a way to “pay as you go” to land and aquatic classes.
