CREAMY PUMPKIN SOUP
WITH PISTACHIOS INGREDIENTS
STEP BY STEP
* 3 Â leeks * 1 garlic clove * 1/2 kg pumpkin * spoonfuls of butter * 1 chicken stock * 1/2 l. milk * Parsley * Pepper * Borges Pistachios
Fry the three leeks and a garlic clove in butter for five minutes. Add the pumpkin, a litre of chicken stock and half litre of milk. Cook over low heat for half an hour or until the pumpkin starts to crumble. Blend it until getting a smooth cream. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and freshly ground black pepper.
ONCE THE SOUP IS SERVED IN THE BOWLS, PUT IN A SMALL HANDFUL OF PISTACHIOS TO GIVE THE SOUP A SAVOURY TOUCH.

Pilarín Bayés is a Catalan illustrator with a long career, a very personal style, and characteristic drawings which are recognised everywhere. The artist from Vigo, who turns 70, explained that in her creations she looks for "both beauty and to explain things". Curator Marga Sala, emphasizes that the drawings of Bayés have influenced 11 generations of children. In more than 50 years of history, initiated in "Cavall Fort", Pilarín Bayés has illustrated almost 700 books and has received distinctions such as the Creu de Sant Jordi and the Serra d'Or prize. President Puigdemont, Pilarín Bayés and Borges present the collection of festivals and traditions of Catalonia The President of the Generalitat, Carles Puigdemont inaugurated the presentation of the collection "Celebrations and traditions of Catalonia," illustrated by Pilarín Bayés, with texts by Marga Sala and the folklorist Joan Soler i Amigó. The event was led by Màrius Serra, the Managing Director of the Borges International Group, Josep Pont; the illustrator Pilarín Bayés and President Puigdemont. The collection of 12 volumes, is a project of Grup 62, La Vanguardia and Estudi Pilarín, with the sponsorship of Borges and the collaboration of the four provincial councils .

Create very cute little plants in a very easy way! WITH PASCUAL BIFRUTAS
Step 1 Materials: 1 packet of Bifrutas 200ml 1 cutter or scissors (with the cutter it is easier) Acrylic paintings. We have chosen four colors: black, brown, pink and white, but you can choose the ones you want. 1 black marker pen Brushes 1 blending palette Step 2 To draw Once the packet is cleaned, we draw with a black marker the silhouette of the animal that we want to transform into. In this case we have chosen a pig and a teddy bear. This drawing will serve to know where we have to cut in the next step. Step 3 Cut Taking advantage of the line drawn and with the help of a cutter we cut very carefully to obtain the silhouette. This is a step we recommend adults do instead of children. Step 4 Paint We already have our cut and ready to paint. We choose a base color, we give a first layer with a brush and let dry. Depending on the chosen color will require one or more layers. Once we have the base color we want, we have to give it life and create the face of the animation. This is a good step for children to unleash their imagination. Step 5 Plant It With our animation ready, the last detail we need is to fill it with a little plant! In this case, we have chosen aromatic herbs, but may include a cactus or also plant legumes for children to see how they grow quickly.

ENERVIT AT TRIATHLONÂ The Malta Triathlon Federation staged the 31st edition of the Malta National Triathlon Championship on Sunday 8th October at Salini Beach and along the Coast Road. This is, as per tradition, the grand final of the local triathlon and multisport season which has seen athletes racing in different formats of racing combining the three sports of swimming, cycling and running. Enervit Sports Malta ensured the athletes were well prepped for the race by giving all athletes Enervit PRE-SPORT; a carbohydrate-rich energy food that should be eaten before intense and prolonged physical exercise.Â

XC Racing closed the MTB season on Sunday 15th October in Selmun.
