Welcome to the 11th Annual RSK RAF Elite Genetics Online Production Sale, hosted on smartauctions.co. Since our last sale a lot has changed within our herd. On the Hereford side we have been putting more emphasis on the importance of cow families and will be continuing to build on this factor within a touch smaller herd. Rae and Stephanie are starting to step back from the day to day actives as they have worked extremely hard over the years to get us to where we are now. They were also extremely honoured and proud to be inducted into the CHA Honor Roll this year!

In the last year we have also seen the growth of our Black Angus herd through female retention and so very unique purchases. We feel that the choices we have made over the last few years will be very rewarding in regards to the growth and future of both the Black Angus and Hereford herds along with our commercial and recipient programs.

If the last few years have taught us anything its understanding the value in good genetics and being mindful of the consistency and merit to every female in the herd. Equally valuable is the selection of great herd bulls. NJW 139C Balance 207H, RSK SCK 7615 Double Down 30H and RSK 173D Command ET 91H have blown us away again this year with their calf crops. The heifer calves and bred females this year are right from the top of the pack and we could not be more elated about the quality, consistency and marketability of these females!

With that being said, when you are very bull calf heavy after calving, it does offer some challenges to having a big female offering. So we decided to offer a smaller amount of high end live lots, but compliment them with more intriguing embryo lots with a majority of them being full or half sibs to the females cataloged.

With Bonanza being held in Brandon for 2024 we feel these females will go out and compete for you! To all the juniors that are thinking of attending the Junior Nationals next year in Brandon, please remember we provide amazing junior incentives for you, just check out this year’s junior members that have excelled with our program and remember that we are part of the CJHA Heifer Lottery Program and a Choose Hereford Breeder! TERMS AND CONDITIONS PAYMENT:

Payment must be made following the sale by all buyers in attendance of the sale. An invoice will be mailed to all online purchasers following the sale. No animal shall leave the consignors until payment has been received. Any animal remaining at either ranch because of payment still owing after 30 days will be charged a fee of $5.00/day.

INSURANCE:

Each animal becomes the buyer’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All purchases must be insured with your chosen representative.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION:

Each animal is registered through the CHA. Each animal’s registration will be supplied to the purchaser after payment has been made.

DELIVERY:

The consignors will help each purchaser with arranging delivery on their purchase as soon as possible after the sale.

EXCHANGE RATE:

The US/Canadian Exchange Rate will be announced prior to the sale.

DELIVERY TO USA:

We are happy to assist with the paperwork and getting your purchases across the border. All US purchases will have a fee of $450.00 added to the purchase price to cover the export costs.

FLUSH & SEMEN RIGHTS:

The consignors reserve the right to flush any female or draw semen from any bull that is on offer. This will be at the buyers’ convenience and the sellers’ expense.

She is the type that will produce power progeny and I believe she will just get more competitive and better with age. This is a female that you can build a herd around.

Bulit from the ground up, great skeleton, length from front end to hip with an amazing number profile too. She glides in her movement and has a stand out show ring/ pasture alertness and presence. Her dam 22C is a full sister and flush mate to the 2017 CWA Champion Bull, RSK E 2046 Digby ET 20C. Digby daughters are coming full swing into production and we love them. Digby 20C still walks the pastures at RSK Farms and more daughters will be retained due to their growth, correctness and picture perfect udders. Miss Firefly 18L’s sire Balance 207H adds alot to this already interesting mating. Balance on Digby daughter’s is going to yield some very cool results. RSK SCK 30H Lady Church ET 71K is one of the first RSK SCK 7165 Double Down 30H bred heifers to sell in Canada. We are over the moon excited about what Double Down has been doing for us. This mating has proven to be a great one. Study her pedigree and you will notice so many heavy hitters and proven genetic lines. Lady Church 71K is built with so much style and appeal. She is so pretty fronted, tidy and correct in structure and lines, but maintains a shapely hip pattern with a capacious bold sprung rib that is smooth made and well balanced. I believe that Lady Church 71K has a big future ahead of her.

RSK 30H Miss Sunshine 24K is a strong made, powerful bred female. I’m very excited to see the potential of Balance mated to Double Down females, this one especially. Miss Sunshine is a soggy, deep made female, full of volume and girth. Her depth is evident right from hip to flank and belly to chest floor, but still maintains a feminine and balanced look to her. As stated above, the progeny she is carrying will be the sunshine on a cloudy day!

We thought we would offer Ms Firefly 52K in this years sale to add an exciting opportunity. She is moderate made but full of dimension and combines two maternal powerhouse females, Daydream 73S and Firefly 125Y. 52K’s dam was purchased in the 2016 CWA Hereford Sale and was high seller at $33000. Command possesses a massive hip, loin and testicles wrapped in a structural package that is hard to beat. His movement and fluidity are unmatched by many with everything planted on a big solid foot. Command completes the package with beautiful balance and appeal, great extension in his front with a skull and shoulder structure that makes me feel comfortable in using him on heifers.
