VIRGINIA CLUB CALF PRODUCERS
6th Annual Eastern Elite January 28, 2017 | Harrisonburg, Virginia | 6:30 PM following Heifer Show at the VCCP Winter Classic Jackpot Show.
Welcome
We would like to welcome you to the 6th Annual VCCP Eastern Elite Sale – held in conjunction with the 12th Annual VCCP Winter Classic. The years seem to go by faster and faster and here we are at year 6 already. It is our hope that buyers and consignors start to recognize this venue as being one of the superior outlets to market and purchase cattle in the Eastern United States; Dr. Mike Mimms and Bushy Park Farm certainly have and it paid big Dividends for them along with the Walker Family in Louisville this year! While we recognize that the cattle market has declined this year, good cattle always sell well and if you are paying attention, there will be many good buys in this sale that will pay for themselves in the first year. This year, we have a nice selection of bulls (One already seeing the purple as a division champion in Louisville), a diverse set of breds, a couple of really nice donor cows, a variety of open heifer calves with options for everyone, and as always – a top end set of genetics. We hope you had a great holiday and welcome you to 2017 and our Annual Consignment sale. Please call any consignor or member of the sale committee with questions. VCCP Sale Committee.

Success Stories
1
In our 2014 Sale – Bushy Park bought a package of Irish Whiskey eggs out of the Mimms Donor 4267. They sold two resulting heifers for $23,000 and $100,000 last fall – This may be unprecedented in any sale in the country! Congratulations to Cory Thomsen and Crew at Bushy Park. The resulting heifer from this embryo package went on to be named NAILE Grand Champion Maintainer Heifer in both the junior and open shows, congratulations Mason Walker.
This Sim Solutions lot was consigned as a heifer pregnancy by Wehrman Genetics in the 2012 Eastern Elite sale and was purchased by G&B Cattle for $3500. They returned her to the 2014 sale as a bred heifer and sold her for $13500 A heifer consigned by Walter Earle from North Carolina (lot 43) in 2013 ended up as a Division Champion Chi-Maine at Louisville that same year. Congratulations Walter!
In 2015, Wy Cattle bought the top selling bred heifer (pictured). In this year alone, she has produced two heifers averaging nearly $5,000 each and another heifer that was Reserve Champion heifer at the Eastern States Kickoff Jackpot show this fall.

So obvious, Ray Charles saw this one coming a mile away. Here is your chance to buy into a proven purple pedigree. CMCK Mr Relentless is a full sib to Brokers Midnight Destiny, ½ interest sold for 27K in the 2015 Cook Show Cattle Black Friday Sale. Broker’s Midnight Destiny went on a terror of banner hanging in 2016 being the hottest SimSolution female in the Midwest. Her record reads as follows; Champion SimSolution VCCP 2016, Champion SimSolution and 4th overall Supreme Female Keystone International Open Show, Champion SimSolution and 5th Supreme Female Keystone International Junior Show, Champion SimSolution and 4th Overall Supreme female World Beef Expo, Champion SimSolution Indiana State Fair Open Show, Champion SimSolution Ohio State Fair Open Show. Those are just the summer and fall shows as she was Champion SimSolution 5 other times at the winter jackpots as well as a Supreme and a 3rd overall. If the pedigree doesn’t speak enough, study this beast. The amount of power from behind would make Kim Kardashian jealous. He is extra smooth from end to end and moves like a cat on the prowl. Phenotypically flawless with a pedigree that continues to prove itself with two more sibs that sold this year for an average of $5500. This is the only bull we have sold from this cow and will likely be the last as she died prematurely on us and we only have 2 eggs left in the tank. Here is your chance to not only guarantee a rocking set of calves in 2018, but to truly move your whole herd forward. Oh, we forgot to mention, not only is he 50% Simmental, but he registers as a Chi as well at 6.51%. We brought our best to Virginia!

This stout young sire is no stranger to the show ring. Winning Champion Bull Calf at the 2015 N.A.I.L.E was an impressive way to start off his show career. Since that time he has added multiple state and regional titles to that resume including Grand Champion at the Rockingham County Fair, Virginia State Fair and class winner at the Atlantic National Angus Show. His sire is an offspring of the Champion Hill Fullback 380 bull and was shown successfully with multiple state titles. His dam descended from the famed Leachman Saugahatchee who won her class at the N.A.I.L.E. and numerous other state titles. Ernie will add muscle dimension and power to his offspring while keeping that sleek, extended front end that is so desired. Don’t miss this opportunity to invest in a young Angus sire that is sure to do great things. Retaining 50% Semen Interest

This mature bull is a proven breeder that really gets the job done on up to 25+ cows. He recently passed his breeding soundness exam with excellent quality semen as he has every year I have him checked. He is ready to go to work for you. This bull is massive and really adds pounds to his calf crop. He really excels in the quality of his daughters. He has sired donor quality females and the daughters that we have retained is the reason that we have to let him go. This is hard for us as he is the best bull that we have ever owned. This is no surprise considering his pedigree, being out of a high selling lot 2 from a past exposure sale, raised by John Griswold and sired by GCC Chopper. Griswold Genetics on both sides of his pedigree. We have sold several calves for premium prices that went on to be successful show calves that were sired by him. His commercial calves are heavy, deep, have a good look and sell high in the local feeder calf markets. Study this youthful bull’s pedigree along with his overall power, bone size, muscle and rib shape, and you can see why he has done well for us. Calves are born moderately sized, I have never pulled a calf from a mature cow carrying his service. He comes with his breeding soundness exam paperwork from Ashby Herd Health. This bull will Make you $Money.

If you like his picture you will love him in person. Just the right frame size for making those half bloods that we love. He is sired by Upgrade and out of a Fat Butt 734 cow that was the top selling Simmental heifer at the Teets Sale a few years back. No papers, has a great disposition. Come take a look!

I love these Total Solution females. Great balance and structure, deep bodied, and they turn into great mothers. This heifers mother did a lot of winning for us throughout her show career including winning the AOB’s at VA State Fair. This heifer was shown by Ryan Borer and was the Champion Shorthorn Plus at VA State Fair. I really like the look and build of the M20 calves, this should be an exciting mating. SAV Final Answer needs no introduction on the great females he is known for making or the calving ease and longevity that he passes on. This Angus cow has that deep, broody body that everyone loves about the breed. I really like this cows beautiful head shape, she looks like a female. She also has a wonderful disposition and can be moved easily from place to place with only a feed bucket. An Angus cow is so versatile, and can be used for a multitude of options within our industry, rather it be for purebreds, Simangus, Maintainer, Commercial or to add maternal traits to your cowherd. Even if you raise show steers, you cannot beat a good Angus momma cow! Angus is a breed that is very important to our business, as many good operations are built around Angus genetics. Sire Choice: Maternal Made OR I-80 Donor Dam: TSSC Chanel U809 - New Look/ MeyerXAngus
This baldy powerhouse donor made her debut in our lineup last year as lot 1 and is really starting to show her true value as a top shelf donor cow. Her daughter was a sale highlight as a bred in the Dakota Classic sale and sold for a high premium of $18,000. This girl is a true beast in terms of body mass, rib shape and dimension from end to end. Pile all that cow on an incredibly sound foundation and match the at with a long skinny neck with a look that could kill. This one is bred a notch different but in terms of the fundamentals you need in a donor she carries those added intangibles to take it to the next level and make them elite. Her overall completeness all owes her to mate up with a magnitude of sires and we have utilized her in those ways for you and your program as well. Either of these sires here will deliver you a set of babies you will need to gather in the purple and pay for this small investment many times over. She has the big foot, sound structure and added maternal design along with the massive body, dimension and squareness to make some elite Mainetainers with I-80, or the overall size, length, and long term female build to make some top shelf donor kind of females with hot maine sensation Maternal Made. Either way Chanel Daugther the choice is yours, you select them what fits you the best, but rest assure the easy decision is to click the bid button on this bold beauty and let the hard task of choosing which mating to come after the dust has settled. Along with her daughter selling we have an elite group out of this female on the ground now and with matings like these I strongly feel the best is yet to come. Trust me the wife unwraps a set of these Christmas morning she won’t ever ask for a set of diamonds again these will be her new best friends.

The first embryo calf from this cow was a $5,100 red Milkman steer in the 2014 Mimms Club Calf Auction and another sold to Bonham Show Cattle, OK. Her only steer in 2015 was a $3,400 son of Chocolate Milk. Milkman x 9117 heifer topped Mimms heifer sale at $27500 This big bodied, super sound, huge haired cow carries the red gene so, judging by that first calf, Exit 174 should be just as successful if not better and maybe even more colorful. Also, the Chocolate Milk combination mimics the huge success of her mother and her strong calf from last fall. Watch out!
