Prakash Apte
Prakash M. Apte, born in 1939, graduated in Architecture from M.S. University of Baroda and completed Masters Programme in Regional Planning in 1961 from IIT Kharagpur, Diploma in Urban Design from Naples University, Italy in 1963 and a Diploma in Business Management from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi. He is the Author of the books “The building of Gandhinagar: New Capital of Gujarat”, “Urban Planning & Development An Indian Perspective” & “Urban Growth Strategies: Mumbai Lessons”, “Hands On Guide: Urban Planning” & “What Ails India”. He has worked with Chandigarh Capital Project, Delhi Development Authority, Asansol Planning Organization, Gujarat New Capital Project, & Housing & Urban Development Corporation of India,the Royal Government of Bhutan, and the World Bank He was invited as the 1988 Eisenhower Fellow from India by the Eisenhower Exchange Fellowships Inc. U.S.A. in the field of Urban Management.
