The Joe C. Thompson Conference Center in Texas was the first conference center to emphasize continuing education centers in the state, and its dedication in October 1970 marked its significance in providing a venue for education and discussion. This building is designed in modernism by architects from Dallas firm named Fischer and Spillman designed this complex and Mc Ghee Construction company from Austin began construction of the center in the late 1960s, and its establishment marked a significant step forward in providing accessible education and discussion opportunities to the community.
