SITE EDGE INTERFACE Adjacent buildings visually blocked off from the site Buffer space required to create a visual barrier Habitable space

Stilt floor 4m

The indicated edges of the site come in very close proximity to the dense residences present on the other side. Development on site needs to be shielded from view of these existing dwellings.

A landscaped buffer of 4m needs to left from the edge of the site to act as a physical and a visual barrier. This will maintain privacy along stilt area as well as the habitable spaces.

NATURAL FEATURES

Valley within the site

River at edge of site

The existing valley must not be used to store construction equipment. In order to sustain the adjoining river, the valley needs to be conserved and maintained. Construction of podium as well as basement to be limited to this edge

Valley side to be earmarked as conserved vegetation area, treatment and maintenance for which must begin along with building construction at early stage itself for it to be in a nurtured stage once the development is ready.

PARKING ACCESS SHOWN FROM UNDERNEATH RAMP. NEEDS TO BE CHECKED. DUE TO THE FIRE ACCESS MOVMENT POKCETS ON THE GROUND FLOOR ARE NOT EFFECTIVELY UTILIZED. LEAVING LARGE UNUSED SPACES

BASED ON FIRE REGUALTIONS IS THIS RAMP ACCEPTABLE OR WILL THIS NEED TO BE REWORKED ?

ENTRANCE EXPERIENCE SEGMENTS The entire driveway is categorized into 4 distinct yet inter‐related segments. These segments are derived based on the contour profile as well as the visual axis and expanse created due to the curvilinear profile of the road

GM E S

G SE

G SE

G SE

M

M

M

The final section towards the termination of the frontage experience is treated with visually strong landscape elements such as planter beds and pergola members shading pedestrian plazas and also terrace landscape seating space overlooking the existing valley. This section is treated with a combination of active and passive spaces to enhance user interface with the landscape. (REFER VIEW 4)

T D N E

T C EN

This section is a transitional phase in the driveway with dense edge vegetation on either side and framed members spanning the road width to enhance the driveway experience and increase the human scale perception. (REFER VIEW 3)

T B N E

T A N E

This section of the road from where the site is first perceived is treated with accentuating landscape elements such as water features, planting beds and tall posts to enhance the expanse of the site. (REFER VIEW 2) v5 v4

v3 This Segment is designed as a Ceremonious entry to the development with large frames defining the transition between the Highway Road and the access to the development. (REFER VIEW 1) v1

ENTRNACE EXPERIENCE VOLUMES The driveway is treated with two distinct set of volumes. The first half from the Main Highway edge is treated as an intimate space with directional features and constricted view while the second half is contrastingly altered with large expanse of greens , shaded pedestrian plazas as one moves into the development.

VO

VO

M LU

M LU

E B

E A In this section the volume of the driveway is broadened with the use of landscape elements as well as with the softscape usage that is only treated as low ground covers. Pergola shaded spaces are introduced along the driveway to enhance the pedestrian interface as well a few parking is accomodated along one edge. The driveway is terminated with terraced landscape spaces overlooking the valley.

v5 v4

v3

The edges along the road in the section is treated with high walls with large green mounds that not only make the space intimate but also act as guiding landscape element for the user. This pattern is continued with the interplay of softscape and hardscape till the volumetric expanse is broadened. v1
