In India, non-profit organizations, charities, and trusts play a crucial role in social welfare and community development. These organizations rely heavily on donations and contributions from individuals and corporations to carry out their activities. However, many donors and contributors are hesitant to donate due to concerns regarding the legitimacy and transparency of these organizations. To address these concerns, the government of India provides two certificates, 80G and 12A, to eligible organizations. In this article, we will discuss these certificates and the process for obtaining them.
