Pratt Institute’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) provides high-quality credit and noncredit courses and programs to the nontraditional student in a variety of subjects for educational advancement, career change, and enrichment. SCPS students obtain the necessary tools to stay ahead in today’s competitive workplace. Through innovative programs and courses, students expand upon and sharpen their skill set to advance their career goals. Students come to Pratt from all over the world to engage and master subjects, strengthen their skills, and become better artists, designers, architects, photographers, writers, and more. Courses are offered at our Manhattan location in Chelsea and on Pratt’s campus in the historic Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn during each fall, spring, and summer term. Fashion Styling for Video Production Access the communicative power of dress through hands-on, collaborative experiences styling fashion videos. Jewelry Design and Marketing Certificate Making Wearable Art: Advanced Jewelry Fabrication Expand on your direct metal fabrication skills of non-ferrous metals and explore other advanced techniques including wire work for construction, chain making, stone setting and more with Pratt Jewelry alumna, Casey Sobel.

BUSINESS Creative Careers Certificate Arm yourself with the knowledge and strategies you will need to succeed in a creative career. Introduction to Creative Careers From staff roles to freelancing to launching an LLC, discover the creative careers landscape for visual artists and designers. Introduction to Marketing Communication: Copywriting and Pitching From pitch to final copy, develop marketing communication skills for your creative practice.

PRECOLLEGE PROGRAM AT PRAT T MANHAT TAN January 26–April 13 Creative Writing, Painting and Drawing, Industrial Design, and Art & Design Discovery are now being offered for one credit or noncredit. Architecture continues to be offered as a two credit course and may be complemented by the noncredit Architecture Design Studio course. A Portfolio Development course is also available for noncredit. Classes will take place at Pratt Institute’s Manhattan campus with a final exhibition hosted at the Institute’s Brooklyn campus.
