High school students engage in rigorous college-level courses, modeled after Pratt Institute’s undergraduate offerings and taught by Pratt faculty who are committed to sharing their expertise in the fields of art and design. Students enrolled in credit-bearing PreCollege classes receive elective credits accepted at Pratt and most other colleges and universities.
PreCollege students have the opportunity to: • experience studying art, design, architecture, or creative writing at a college level; • build skills using a variety of tools, materials, and techniques; • develop a body of work to build a college admissions portfolio; • join a community of students who share their interests; • explore undergraduate majors and get a preview of the college experience at Pratt; and • enroll in the one-month PreCollege summer program offered on our Brooklyn campus or choose our fall or spring semester-long program offered at our Manhattan campus.
