Due to COVID-19, we have a whole new set of offerings that you can take from the safety of your own home, virtually!

• If a class is cancelled by the department, a full refund will be issued.

• CLASS Cancellations made 1 week prior to the class start date will receive a refund less a $5 cancellation fee.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION • Pre-registration is required for all classes!

• Register early so our instructors can plan and so that we don't cancel due to low enrollment.

• Classes may be cancelled if there is low enrollment.

• All registrations are taken on a first come first serve basis.

• Waiting lists will be established if a program is full. If a space becomes available we will contact you. You will not be charged for the class unless you are enrolled.

• Students who are dissatisfied with a program for any reason must fill out a refund request form prior to receiving a credit so we can make the class better in the future. Credits and refunds will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the program supervisor. STOP MOTION ANIMATION

Age 5-14 Students will learn the principles of stop-motion animation. They will learn how to write a story, storyboard and use LEGO® bricks, mini figures and props to bring their story to life. Each student will shoot and edit their movies using an iPad®. They will explore the fun of moviemaking, from storyboarding to video techniques to post-production, including adding sound effects and music. This will leave them inspired to create awesome stories all summer long which will become fabulous memories for your family.

LEGO TECHNIC ADVENTURES

Age 5-14 Not just another LEGO Camp where your kid must hunt around the house and grab all their loose LEGO and sit in front of a zoom classroom and try to match pieces the instructor is recommending! Students will create 12-15 builds with instructions and at the end of the week, will be able to plan and create their own custom builds from the kit. MONEY 101 - BUILDING YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE

Age 12-18 An entertaining and educational camp that will teach students the 360 degrees of financial literacy and prepare them to move out and stay out. Through eye-opening simulations the curriculum focuses on building good credit in order to achieve future goals.

In addition to the financial aspects of becoming independent, the moving out program will advise students about career development topics, in which they will build a resume and practice their interview skills.

Your student will learn how to achieve financial autonomy through a series of games and activities that cover important topics such as: Purchasing a car, Renting a home, Living within one’s means, Career development, Interview skills etc. Classes will be taught by trained financial literacy experts.

ART HISTORY WITH THE MASTERS

Age 6-12 This Young Rembrandts workshop is full of possibilities! Join us for give days of pastel fun as we learn about a new medium and explore art history by studying different artists and their work. Each day we will create one large drawing in pastel chalks.

We will create wonderful artwork while being inspired by Edvard Munch's The Scream, Pablo Picasso's Woman in Hat, Vincent Van Gogh's Chair, Wassily Kandinsky's Bavarian Market Square, and Claude Monet's Regatta at Argenteuil. The daily results will be truly frame-able!

LEARN ANIME/MANGA Age 6-12 Calling all otaku kids! Join the Anime Manga workshop and learn how to draw your favorite Japanese style art. This five-day workshop will tap into everyone's imagination while learning to draw cute manga inspired characters, accessories, and costumes.

Your child's talent is about to take off!

JUNIOR UNDER THE SEA WORKSHOP

Age 6-10 This workshop gives our students the chance to draw all the different things we see and imagine under the sea! Students will explore under the sea as they learn to draw and color with pastels. We will complete our last day with one large scene showcasing a whimsical underwater kingdom complete with all its subjects. These pastel drawings will reward students with a great sense of pride and accomplishment.

JUNIOR ZOO WORKSHOP Age 4-8 This workshop gives our students the chance to draw all the different animals and things we see at the zoo! Llamas, lions, monkeys and more will fill our drawings. We will complete our last day with one large scene including all the animals we drew that week in a clever and cute imaginary zoo.

FANTASY FOREST WORKSHOP Age 6-12 Magical, mythical, marvelous art is coming your way in this new Young Rembrandts drawing workshop! Join us for five days filled with fun and creative thought as we explore deep in the Fantasy Forest. Students will tap into their imagination while learning to draw otherworldy creatures like fairies, trolls, and a forest queen. Your child's talent will truly enchant you as they create beautiful scenery and new masterpieces every day.

DRAW CARTOONS WORKSHOP Age 6-12 Learn the basics of cartooning and create your own characters! Each day students will learn techniques used in cartooning.

Subjects like characteristics, features, exaggeration, action, and personification will contribute to your child's artistic advancement!

FROZEN KIDS - A MINI MUSICAL

Age 7-12 Rehearse and perform the Disney mini musical Frozen KIDS in two funfilled weeks! Working with a director, choreographer and vocal coach from San Carlos Children’s Theater, campers learn how to audition, sing, dance, and act on stage for a real audience! No prior acting experience is needed. Final day of camp features a free, one-hour performance for the community complete with colorful sets and costumes.

WINNIE THE POOH KIDS - A MINI MUSICAL

Age 6-11 Take the stage this summer in the San Carlos Children’s Theater mini musical Winnie the Pooh KIDS. In just one fast-paced week, campers learn how to memorize lines, sing, dance, rehearse and perform this magical Disney adventure for a live audience.

NAMASTE! ART FROM INDIA Age 8-12 Get your passport ready! This week we are headed to India! Campers will be incorporating patterns and symmetry that are found in Indian artwork. We will do some sculpting, painting, and drawing as we immerse ourselves in the fashion, architecture, and some of the cultural traditions in this vibrant country.

NECKLACES & WALL HANGINGS Age 8-13 Can you FELT it?! In this Textiles & Fiber Arts Camp, we’ll learn all about wool, how it’s processed, and most importantly, how to use wet felting to create colorful, fun projects! Age 8-14 This course is designed to give kids the space and freedom to explore and be creative while helping them master the tool so they can use it to show us their perspective of the world. This course will introduce basic concepts such as features of the camera, composition, rule of thirds, leading lines, working with positive and negative space, lighting and perspective.

Hands-on activities designed to spark thought and understanding. Students will be encouraged to discuss professional photographs and then to present their own and discuss those with the class. There will be a virtual exhibition of all the student’s work at the end of the week.

CREATE PUZZLES WITH SCRATCH

Age 8-14 Students will exercise and stretch their brains collaboratively and independently while working through puzzles and programming in this course. Puzzles exercise both the analytical/logical side and the creative side of your brain improving memory, problem solving skills and could even improve IQ! Join us for a 5 week journey to fun, engagement, and learning this SUMMER! Virtual Voyager is a special at-home camp experience! NO REFUNDS AFTER BOX PICK-UP DATE. 1. We supply you with a box of themed activities for the week.

Age 2-3½ The fun happens together, so don’t just watch from the sidelines! Here is your chance to join in your toddler’s introduction to the world’s most popular sport. You’ll participate in fun, age-appropriate activities, and help your child to develop their motor and socialization skills. A variety of soccer activities are played each week. Adult participation is required.

TOT-SOCCER Age 3½-4 Tot-Soccer helps kids learn to be part of a structured group activity without a parent by their side. Our time-tested, age specific curriculum builds confidence and promotes physical development in a safe, supportive and fun environment. Tot-Soccer focuses on helping kids develop their large motor skills through demonstrations and entertaining games like Bugs in the House!

PRE-SOCCER Age 4-5 Pre-Soccer helps youngsters develop a lifelong love of soccer while we introduce concepts of playing on a team. Our curriculum includes energetic, all-inclusive games that teach young kids the basics about playing with a group. In addition to building their soccer skills, Pre-Soccer kids begin learning the fundamentals of good sportsmanship through sharing, passing and being aware of other players.

SOCCER 1 Age 5-6 Players will learn dribbling, passing, defense and shooting goals! Fun skill games are played at every session, as every participant has a ball at their feet. Concepts of small-sided soccer matches will be introduced gradually. Perfect for first time players while being fun and engaging for kids with some experience.

SOCCER 2 Age 7-10 A great introduction to competitive soccer. Soccer 2 teaches advanced skill building such as dribbling, passing and shooting in a team format, as well as an introduction to goaltending. Kids learn concepts necessary to play together as a team. From defense and midfield to forward and goalie. Appropriate for players of varying skill levels.

In this 4-part series specifically developed to help kids navigate our 'new normal' they'll learn practical tools and techniques to help them thrive during this time!

BODHI KID: CALM CORNER Age 3-6 Teaching your child vital self-calming techniques to help young children develop self-regulation and resilience. Integrating mindfulness-based storytime, meditation, breathing exercises and games they'll build learn to recognize and regulate powerful emotions as they build their own calm-kit. Downloadable activity and exercises will be shared each week.

YOGI CUBS WITH PARENTS Age 3-6 Create a little yogi for life in this fun, playful class. Each week we embark on an adventure exploring yoga and mindfulness.

With an emphasis on social-emotional and physical development, these classes develop coordination, balance, fine motor skills, memory, and focus. We introduce techniques and create take-home tools to help foster resilience, self-regulation, and self-calming. Note - you'll be sent a downloadable mindfulness activity and game to practice together.

YOGI KIDS WITH PARENTS

Age 5-10 Explore yoga and mindfulness with a new themed adventure each week. With an emphasis on social-emotional and physical development, we help kids develop self-regulation skills whilst building postural awareness, strength and flexibility. We introduce meditation, breathing techniques, games and activities to cultivate calm, find our inner-brave and spark kindness.
