Ashram school in Veti Murbad village, Dahanu | 6th Semester. School/ One entity Form : Seeing through the cultural and festival practices that took place around the village and how does the school perform as one form of entity than just seeing it as a institutional building.

Narrative

School/ One entity Form : Seeing through the cultural and festival practices that took place around the village. School as one form of entity Than just seeing it as an institutional building. Of how the school functions/works in the sense of self regulatory in terms of maintaining the construction. What does open/ semi-open / close places means in this context. How the material shapes the building thus coming to the decision of using local materials where the people themself can build it without depending on 3rd party. To see the idea of pedagogy in this context.

Design + Details | 6th Semester Quoting Mies van der Rohe “God is in detail” which motivates a person to see into every detail that exits in a structure and how it is worked out and what it adds to the entity. The design intervention is realised through the design detailing module giving a larger focus on ‘design of details’ and the ‘narrative capacities’ of the built form through construction technology.
