s a group travel organizer, you’re dealing with a time of fundamental change in consumer travel habits, and a changing economy. You need ideas that work - that cut through the noise - from companies that understand what it takes to be group-friendly and deliver outstanding experiences. The quickest way to make the best-informed choices is right here. You can scour the internet from dawn till dusk and you won’t find a better collection of top travel suppliers. Within these pages are the companies who have stepped up to help groups like yours. They know what works, and what doesn’t. We have organized this directory by state, so you can hone in on those resources where you geographically have needs. There’s also a section in the back listing tour operators and national companies. Here you will find the biggest and best brand names plus scores of hidden jewels, just waiting to be explored. Keep this directory as a desk-top reference as you plan trips throughout the year. And when you’re searching online, bookmark GroupTravelDirectory.com for the industry’s largest supplier database. Our web traffic beats our nearest competitor by a 5-1 margin according to independent traffic ranking services because we break through the clutter and only deliver targeted results to group travel buyers. Good luck in 2016 planning! Sincerely,

EXPERIENCE COLUMBUS
Unforgettable Columbus
C
olumbus is full of unforgettable experiences, distinct neighborhoods and one-of-a-kind tours. Try one of these top picks, or one of the many more memorable experiences Ohio’s capital city has to offer. Hands-On Experiences As a leader in experiential tourism, Columbus knows first-hand that getting your group in the middle of the action and behind the scenes is important. Get up close to take a selfie with a giraffe, hand-set vintage type on an old-fashioned letterpress, learn moves at a nationally-renowned ballet company, gain VIP access to a major retailer before the store opens, and more. Factory Tours Go behind the scenes to see how it’s made at one of Columbus’ industry-leading specialists. Family-operated Anthony-Thomas Candy Company shows start to finish what it takes to produce their confectionery treats. The American Whistle Corporation, the nation’s only metal whistle manufacturer, divulges how the ball gets inside on their tour. And, America’s longest-operating peanut butter company, Krema Nut Company, reveals how they’ve been making peanut butter the old fashioned way for 100 years. Charming Neighborhoods Whether you’re planning a group activity or giving individuals time to explore on their own, several distinct districts welcome groups. In German Village, stroll brick sidewalks and take in quaint architecture in one of the nation’s most storied urban neighborhoods. Or, find the “art and soul” of Columbus in the Short North Arts District, home to the historic North Market and countless boutiques and galleries. To the city’s north, Old Worthington’s heritage folds neatly into its modern-day charm.
Adorned with cobbled streets and Old-World architecture, German Village – just south of downtown Columbus – is one of the nation’s most storied urban neighborhoods.

Come and Experience Monumental Works of Man and Nature
T
he Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming are home to five national parks and monuments, including Mount Rushmore, Badlands, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave and Devils Tower. Make time to visit these national parks as they celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service. The other-worldly Badlands National Park is home to majestic landscapes and diverse wildlife. The Lakota gave this land the name “mako sica,” meaning “land bad.” The Badlands consist of 244,000 acres of sharply eroded buttes, pinnacles and spires blended with the largest protected mixed grass prairie in the United States. Join in the celebration of Mount Rushmore National Memorial’s 75th Anniversary in 2016. The Shrine of Democracy is a large-scale sculpture of four of America's most prominent presidents carved into a granite mountainside. Final work on the Mount Rushmore carving was completed on October 31, 1941. The completion is significant because it showcases art on a grand scale and the ingenuity, vision and tenacity of determined men and women to see the project through and because it created a place that visitors can come to reflect upon and learn about democracy, patriotism, American history, Native American history and the natural world. Come and experience the Black Hills, a region of infinite variety, where there are also scenic byways, historic Old West towns, Native American culture, gaming and a wealth of attractions offering an area abundant with activity.

A Water Playground for Groups
P
lanning a group outing that will please the whole crowd has never been so easy. With the largest concentration of waterparks in the world along with exciting attractions and flexible accommodations, Wisconsin Dells is one place everyone can agree on. Groups of all kinds often head for the amenity-laden waterpark resorts. Some are sprawling and have multiple indoor and outdoor waterparks, while others are cozier and provide a more classic Dells experience. When not enjoying the wave pools, plunge slides and water roller coasters at some of the nation’s largest waterparks, groups often participate in other Wisconsin Dells rituals, like boat tours on the Wisconsin River, playing a round of mini-golf or competing on the gokart track. Grown-up groups will be pleased to know there’s an alter-ego to this community, too, one that includes championship golf courses, sophisticated spas, incredible wineries, microbreweries, distilleries, theaters, live shows and a popular casino.
