The State of Indiana is renowned for being a major sports destination in the United States, with pro teams, the world’s most-famous IndyCar race and more. To keep up with that toptier status, there’s always something new or evolving statewide, not only to provide state-of-the-art sports facilities and amenities for tournaments and events but also diverse offerings that highlight its history and rich cultures.
NEXUSPARK, COLUMBUS
Opened in summer of 2024, NexusPark exemplifies an ideal opportunity for a city to repurpose existing infrastructure, taking a slowing shopping mall and turning it into a premier sports facility which not only benefits the community, but also boosts the local economy through sports tourism. The campus offers a broad range of health and wellbeing services through a partnership with Columbus Regional Health, as

well as recreation experiences with the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department.
The crowning part of this redevelopment is the Circle K Fieldhouse which boasts 150,000 square feet of indoor activation space, including a turf field, basketball, and pickleball courts. This adaptable venue can accommodate up to 16 high school basketball courts, 12 volleyball courts, 50 pickleball courts, and 30 wrestling mats. For tournaments and
events, the newly revamped site has all the amenities of dining and retail spaces in one place for families to enjoy between the action.
MISHAWAKA FIELDHOUSE, MISHAWAKA
Located just east of famous Notre Dame, Mishawaka Fieldhouse adds even more sports power to the South BendMishawaka area in Northern Indiana. Opened in October 2024, the $38-million fieldhouse offers a staggering 220,000 square feet with 10 multipurpose athletic courts for volleyball and basketball, 12 pickleball courts and an indoor turf field that can be utilized for anything from baseball to flag football. Along with the courts and turf field, tournaments and events are supplemented by batting cages, bleachers, a gym all for athletes and many on-site amenities to offer.
SUNSET SKATEPARK, EVANSVILLE
Opened in December 2023, Sunset Skatepark is a $1.7-million haven for skaters and BMX riders alike with 27,000 square feet of outdoor space to play and compete. Located along the Ohio Riverfront in downtown Evansville, this concrete space is the largest skatepark in Indiana with a fun decorative theme befitting its namesake. Sunset Skatepark features a hybrid roller rink and skatepark zone, flow bowl, pool bowl, long adaptive ledges, street-park style areas and a separated multi-jump line that is specifically designed for bikes— making this a true all-wheels park.
FISHERS EVENT CENTER, FISHERS
Opened in November of 2024, Fishers Event Center is an exciting new indoor facility that is poised to elevate Fishers’ and Hamilton County’s game for action packed sports events and electrifying entertainment. The venue will be the official home of the ECHL’s Indy Fuel, affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks, the Pro Volleyball Federation women’s volleyball team, Indy Ignite, and indoor arena football team, Fishers Freight. The 7,500-seat sports and entertainment venue is equipped to host a variety of sports including basketball, wrestling, indoor soccer, and indoor lacrosse, making it the ultimate destination for year-round athletic action.
WESSELMAN PARK TENNIS AND PICKLEBALL COMPLEX, EVANSVILLE
This top-notch sports center received a significant upgrade in 2024 with the addition of 16 pickleball courts, which along with its 12 convertible tennis courts allows for up to 40 pickleball courts. The new pickleball courts make up the largest post-tension court in the state of Indiana which has a special surface that significantly extends its life of use. All courts at Wesselman Park Tennis and Pickleball Complex are lit for night play, and there’s plenty of spectator space and other amenities.
INDIANA FARM BUREAU FALL CREEK PAVILION, INDIANAPOLIS
Located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Events Center, the new 196,000-square-foot Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion was built for multipurpose indoor sports and events. The pavilion features a removable 200-meter banked oval for track and field that was assembled by Beynon Sports. The new state-of-the-art track is already a big hit with locals and visitors alike, with athletes considering it one of the best venues in the country for breathability. When the track is not installed, the venue’s 120,000-square-foot show floor space can host a variety of livestock and consumer events. In a nod to the building’s history, the original 1923 façade of the former Swine Barn was preserved in construction. It is a true testament to the Indiana State Fairgrounds, renowned for its sports pedigree, agriculture, and hospitality.
MARVELLA, FAIR OAKS
This newly announced development will be more than just a sports complex, Marvella is a groundbreaking destination designed specifically for female athletes. Committed to holistic development, Marvella will offer educational programs in leadership, character, mental health, and wellness. The campus, which is designed to be completed in three phases, will house an indoor performance facility with four fields and eight courts, a Women’s Hall of Fame and Museum, an auditorium, up to twelve outdoor fields, and media and content production facilities. Located in Indiana, the birthplace of Title IX, Marvella offers a comprehensive solution to the underserved market of women’s sports.
KUNTZ STADIUM, INDIANAPOLIS
The 6,800-seat Kuntz Stadium is projected to see a bright future, with a planned $45-million investment by Riverside Sports Properties in the works. Riverside’s vision is to expand the stadium into a state-of-the-art facility ahead of the 2031 Rugby World Cup. The project will not only look to expand the seating capacity to 8,000 but also add modern features to make Kuntz Stadium renowned as a top spot for rugby and a place for the community to call home.

Indiana, often synonymous with the Indianapolis 500, has long been a Mecca for motorsports enthusiasts. The "Greatest Spectacle in Racing" has drawn drivers and fans from across the globe to the state every Memorial Day weekend since 1911. However, the Hoosier State's passion for motorsports extends far beyond this iconic event, encompassing a variety of racetracks, events, and attractions that cater to groups of all interests and sizes.
INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
No discussion of motorsports in Indiana would be complete without first mentioning the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). Known as one of the most famous tracks in the world, IMS is home to the Indianapolis 500 and the Brickyard 400. The track also hosts numerous other events, including the IndyCar Grand Prix, endurance sports car racing, and various vintage racing events. Beyond racing, visitors can explore the IMS Museum, which offers a deep dive into the history of auto racing with an extensive collection of race cars, memorabilia, and interactive exhibits.
LUCAS OIL RACEWAY
Just a short drive from Indianapolis lies Lucas Oil Raceway, a versatile racing venue that hosts a wide range of events throughout the year. From drag racing and road racing to oval track racing, this facility is a hotspot for motorsports action. One of the highlights is the
NHRA U.S. Nationals, the largest drag racing event in the world.
IRONMAN RACEWAY
For fans of two-wheeled racing, Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville is a must-visit. This premier motocross track hosts the AMA Pro Motocross Championship, drawing top riders from around the world. The facility is renowned for its challenging terrain and thrilling races, making it a favorite among motocross enthusiasts. Beyond the races, the picturesque setting provides a great backdrop for picnics and group outings.
MADISON REGATTA
Indiana's motorsports scene isn't limited to land. The Madison Regatta on the Ohio River is a standout event in powerboat racing. Held annually, this event features hydroplane boats racing at high speeds, creating a spectacular show on the water. The Regatta also includes a parade, music, and various family-friendly activities, making it a perfect summer outing for groups.
GREAT LAKES GRAND PRIX
Another notable powerboat racing event is the Great Lakes Grand Prix, held on Lake Michigan in Michigan City. This event attracts some of the fastest boats and skilled drivers in the sport, providing an exhilarating experience for spectators. The race weekend also features live entertainment, a boat parade, and other festivities that make it a wellrounded event for groups to enjoy.
HISTORIC RACING AT WINCHESTER SPEEDWAY
Winchester Speedway, known for its high-banked turns and thrilling races, is one of Indiana's oldest and most storied tracks. TERRE HAUTE ACTION TRACK
The Terre Haute Action Track is another historic gem in Indiana's motorsports landscape. Rugby is experiencing exciting growth in the United States, and Elkhart County is at the forefront with its exceptional Moose Rugby Grounds. This premier facility is perfectly equipped to host top-tier competitions, featuring four championship-sized rugby fields spread across 12 acres of pristine, grassy land.
With two entrance gates, paved parking for nearly 500 cars and buses, and additional grass parking, the Grounds offer unmatched convenience for teams and spectators alike. The meticulously maintained playing surfaces are irrigated four days a week, mowed twice daily, and fertilized four times a year, ensuring they remain some of the best in the country. Adding to its allure is a 250-seat pavilion with concessions and restrooms.

GRAND PARK SPORTS CAMPUS, WESTFIELD, INDIANA
Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, IN expands over 400 acres and includes 31 multipurpose fields, 26 diamonds, a 377,000 square-foot Events Center, Pacers Athletic Center, Pro X Athlete Development, and Wrights 360° Movement Academy. In 2023, Grand Park welcomed 5.5 million visitors and hosted over 300 events. In 2023, the campus was named the Readers’ Choice winner for “All-Star” Multi-Purpose Sports Venue or Complex” by SportsEvents. Grand Park is proud to be the home to the Indianapolis Colts Training Camp for five weeks during the summer. The camp is open to the public and allows attendees to watch the team practice and participate in theme days, which feature food and drink deals, apparel deals, live music and entertainment, special activities, giveaways, and cheerleader performances.

Pro X is a premier training facility that provides sportspecific programming for baseball, softball, golf, and football using state-of-theart technology to help each athlete reach their potential. Sports rehab and physical therapy are also offered as part of the programming. The facility also offers Sports Vision programs and Nutrition consultations.
PACERS ATHLETIC CENTER
Basketball, Volleyball, Futsal
This 88,000-square-foot athletic facility has eight courts and is utilized for youth sports training, leagues, camps, and club teams. The Indy Youth Basketball League is the largest youth basketball league in the state and is run by the Pacers Athletic Center. The facility also provides three in-house team basketball programs; Primetime, Grand Park Premier, and Grand Park Select.

360° MOVEMENT ACADEMY Tumbling, Gymnastics, Dance
Wright’s 360° Movement Academy offers gymnastics, Ninjazone, and dance for preschool and youth. Families can also sign up for camps, kids’ night out, or preschool prep at the Westfield campus. The FUNdamentals program offered by Wright’s offers a 10-level system that is based on each child’s individual skill development. Wright’s always puts FUN FIRST!

Food options are a big part of sporting events and Grand Park has visitors covered. There are seven concession stands conveniently located close to all the sports action throughout the outdoor fields and diamonds. The Events Center has a full service cafeteria/concession stand on the main floor and a sports pub on the mezzanine level.

The Hulman Center at Indiana State University is a premier indoor arena with over 10,000 seats. Hosting a wide range of sporting events, including basketball, gymnastics, cheer, and dance, it also serves as a venue for community events, regional tournaments, and entertainment shows.
HULMAN MINI-SPEEDWAY Racing
Home to the Terre Haute Quarter Midget Association (THQMA), the Hulman Mini-Speedway is a familyoriented venue for Quarter Midget Racing, designed for kids aged five to 16. Racing is divided into classes based on age, skill level, and motor type. The venue could potentially be used for other small-scale motorsports events, such as go-kart racing.
LAVERN GIBSON CHAMPIONSHIP CROSS COUNTRY COURSE Cross Country, Trail Running, Obstacle Course Racing
The LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, located just east of downtown Terre Haute, is a world-class, 240-acre facility. Known as one of the few purpose-built cross country courses globally, it’s also one of the most spectator-friendly. It has hosted NCAA Division I and III Championships.
The Aquatic Center is home to Vigo County School Corporation high school teams, Terre Haute Torpedoes swim team, and Indiana State University women’s swimming and diving teams.
MARI HULMAN GEORGE EQUINE ARENAS AT SAINT MARY-OF-THEWOODS COLLEGE

The Mari Hulman George Equine Arenas at Saint Maryof-the-Woods College are top venues for equestrian sports. With indoor and outdoor arenas, the facility supports year-round training, competitions, and regional events, playing a vital role in the college’s esteemed equine program.

The Springhill Soccer Complex features 45 soccer fields for ages 4 to 13 and is home to the Vigo County Youth Soccer Association. It also hosts the Midwest Soccer Classic. The facility could also accommodate lacrosse and ultimate frisbee tournaments.

Hidden Diamonds Park is 89 acres of rolling hills in Albion. The premier outdoor recreational area features a diverse array of outdoor recreation including soccer fields and concessions, lighted baseball/softball diamonds, a sand volleyball pit, lighted basketball court, disc golf course, playground, and walking trails. It also added a new skate park in 2024.

SCHWARTZ TENNIS CENTER Tennis
Schwartz Tennis Center is Purdue University’s first indoor tennis center. The six indoor Basham Courts and 12 outdoor Schwartz Family Courts are available to the public. Six outdoor courts were added to the original six varsity courts in the fall of 2010. The 60,000-square- foot facility includes locker rooms for the teams, offices for administrative staff and coaches, an athletic training room, and seating areas for fans on the mezzanine above the courts.

Evansville’s newest city pool and recreation center, Deaconess Aquatic Center features an outdoor splash pad, a recreation pool, a 50-meter competitive pool and a separated diving well. It has four separate locker rooms for both participants and officials and has relay touch pads and a timing system. It contains just under 1,000 seats for spectators. These seats are a level higher than pool level for optimal viewing.

LEMON LAKE COUNTY PARK, CROWN POINT Disc Golf
Lemon Lake County Park is home to five 18-hole World Championship disc golf courses and hosted the 2010 and 2013 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships and the 2018 Tim Selinske United States Master Disc Golf Championships. The park encompasses 403 acres of rolling hills and open space surrounded by wooded areas. The Flight Center carries a full scale line of disc golf products and offers food concessions.

This complex features nine fullsize soccer fields, adjustable for any sport, with four more in the process of being added. The North Complex was developed in 1999 and offers five full-size fields. It has two stadium fields with large bleachers, a scoreboard and press box, lights for night games and 600 parking spots. The South Complex, which opened in 2010, has eight full-size multi-use athletic fields. It also offers 550 parking spaces and line customization for all sports.
