Gene Autry Sports Complex

Skyline Aquatic Center

Skyline is a 28-lane, Olympic-size competition pool and diving area with one and three-meter boards. The pool can be configured into two water polo courts and the stadium seats over 2,000. It was recently named as a host for the 2013-2016 USA Swimming Grand Prix Series.

Hohokam Stadium

This complex once served as the spring training home of the California Angels. Today it hosts baseball, sand volleyball and tennis tournaments, leagues and camps, as well as city programs and youth groups. It features three lighted and electronically scored baseball diamonds, four outdoor sand volleyball courts and 16 tennis courts. It has bleacher seating and parking for over 380 vehicles. Sky Harbor International runs 1,100 flights daily and accommodates 39 million passengers a year. From LAX, the flight time is about 35 minutes, from Denver International it’s one hour and 50 minutes and from DFW it’s two hours. Interstate 10, east to west, and 17, north to south, intersect near Phoenix. From Los Vegas, Nevada, its about a five and a half hour drive to Mesa, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, it’s six and a half hours and from San Diego, California, it’s six hours and 15 minutes. Mesa offers public buses, Metro lines, cabs services and shuttle buses from Sky Harbor International.

Groups love the serene setting at both Saguaro and Canyon Lakes where there is more than 20 miles of cactusstudded shoreline to explore. At Saguaro Lake, guests can ride the Desert Belle which hosts two 90-minute tours daily with detailed narration on the Arizona wildlife while taking in dramatic desert vistas. At Canyon Lake, hop aboard the Dolly Steamboat which offers nature cruises along the pre-historic canyon walls. Special twilight dinner cruises with a local astronomer are offered on select evenings. Guests flock to the free weekly concert series along the Shadow Walk – an inviting, shaded outdoor oasis plaza.
