PRODUCED BY PRESENTED BY THE BROWNWOOD EVENT CENTER • BROWNWOOD, TX FRIDAY, AUGUST 30

The Symposium Genetic Opportunity was rebranded from Friday Night Fiesta in 2023 after 10 years of the industry’s leading genetic sale. The Symposium Sale offers a diverse and elite offering of both live lots, as well as genetic lots which would not normally be offered for sale. In addition, The Symposium Educational Program is the only one of its kind bringing industry leaders together to share their knowledge.

The “WHY” behind THE SYMPOSIUM

Trying to put the “why” behind this event into words was challenging because Friday Night Fiesta wasn’t broken. In fact if solely measured by sale average, 2022 was the best one we’d had in the 10 years since Jason Spence & I started the event. However, I felt a calling or need to do more for the industry. Megan regularly says “you are something” and maybe she’s right. My lack of contentment has been both a blessing and a curse in my professional career because good enough has never been good enough for me. The fact is, the Livestock Show business is being changed by multiple factors, both good & bad, in & out of our control. Some of those within our control are reproductive technology, genetic advancement, virtual marketing avenues, social media, nutrition, and livestock quality. These are moving forward at warp speed, driven by capitalism and fueled by raw competition!

I am convinced showing livestock is the most competitive sport on earth and raising them can be equally as challenging. I also have the convicted belief in order for the competitive livestock industry to sustain its growth as a preferred activity for youth, our customers need to see success or return on their investment. Some of the smartest people in agriculture are in this business and we should share our success stories. If we do, we all get better and create a more sustainable opportunity for kids to compete and breeders to showcase their livestock.

The primary goals for Symposium 2023 was to change traditional ways of thinking, progress the industry through shared knowledge, cultivate new business opportunities for everyone, and help YOU achieve your goals however big they may be. In 2023 we achieved those goals by hosting the first Symposium, a far-fetched, conceptual idea, at the OMNI Hotel in Fort Worth. Together we proved the concept, and it was a huge success for everyone involved.

This year we are excited to bring Symposium to Brownwood Texas and the new Brownwood Event Center.

welcome! -Kevin Mock

Pfeiffer Farms

JUICE JUMP MAN

Lost her CIDR for December flush, and we elected to put her in the sale. Our loss = your gain!

E3166 is an absolute UNIT. Extremely feminine while still having that extra punch of shape. She has a near perfect sweep to her underline, and doesn’t disappoint when you get on top of her. Her feet and legs work perfectly, leaving your mating options wide open. 3166’s mother was successfully campaigned by Laramie Robinson, collecting the Bronze Medallion Doe honors at the Northwest District. Juice females need no introduction, and they consistently bring the most “-est’s” and make stellar females.

Produced 15/15 embryos June 10th

A full sib to E3166, E3123 is on the opposite end of the spectrum. This one is shallow bodied, hard muscled, and has a PVC pipe for a rib cage. While she may be a little tighter in her skeleton, 3123 makes up for it in pure density. As a doe kid, this was one of the hairiest on the place. She brings an incredible amount of quality, and puts it together in a very unique package.

DOB

Produced 9/9 embryos on June 10th

E3162 is one of those PT daughters that resemble him to a T. This one is HUGE TOPPED, and quite possibly one of the roundest bodied does we have ever produced. She comes from a prolific line being dammed by a voodoo daughter 0075. The PT daughters have done exactly as we expected, and are extremely consistent and predictable when it comes to production.

Blue Team Wethers

LOCATION: ZEPHYR, TX

The Symposium Genetic Opportunity is a Great place to gain some unique pieces from Blue Team Wethers! BTW FULL HOUSE is a new fall born young stud buck that we are using heavily in our flush program. Full House got his name due to his pedigree. He is backed by the strongest genetic lines in our Blue Team Program. Moose x Easy Bake x Soldier Boy x Black Gold’s sister is the bloodlines. Moose is one of the unique bucks that we have produced. He looks like a good Hamp Lamb and and he stamps them with the same shape and power. He has been one of our top herd sires for the past three years. Easy Bake produced the Grand & Reserve Grand Champion Market Goats at the 2023 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. We lost him after 1 year but his daughters are proving to be true stand outs as well. Soldier Boy has won as many major shows as any herd sire in the wether industry. The Black Gold x Soldier Boy was a never miss cross in our program. His pedigree is definitely stamped with our most proven genetics. Full House looks much better in person than any picture He has the exotic look of Moose, explosive rib shape of Easy Bake, Bone & SHAG of Soldier Boy, plus the tremendous touch of Black Gold. When you add one of the wildest upper hips in any animal, you get one special animal! Here is your chance to gain access to Full House even before his kid crop at BTW hits the ground. If you go 2X the gavel price, you can get a full jump instead of a 1/2 jump.

Blue Team Wethers

23046 is a BIG Time Lady with style, power, bone, shag, and a banner backed pedigree. 23046 has Tremendous Power in a head turning G-Wagon style look. Her touch is explosive and she moves like an Olympic athlete that won the 100 meter dash. Her mom was the Grand Champion Doe at the 2021 NAILE shown by Paige Pence. 2116’s 1st flush made the Grand Champion Doe at the 2023 Georgia Nationals. 23046 was produced in 2116’s 2nd flush. This one is backed with banners and a standout in style & power.

Do you like them athletic, hard handling, and exotic? Social Distancing stamps them with this look and handle. Her touch is the kind that wins Big Shows. Her dam side is in many of our Top Donors! This is the genetic combination that has made many of our stud bucks like Shake & Bake, Magic Man, Mean Machine, Home Run, Slugger, and Zoom. This is the pedigree in our Donors like Kiki, Star, Georgia, and Kiwi. Her Grand Dam (Layla) is the mother to our stud buck BTW Knock. There is not one that will stamp consistency like this doe and her pedigree. DOB • 2023

Blue Team Wethers

23080 is the Super clubby female that has the BIG Time Features that makes the Big Time wethers. She is wide chested, huge loined, explosive in her rack shape, and has the YETI legs. She is the kind that is easy to find and hard to make! Moose gives them the freak features and the maternal side is just as perdictable. Fabio stamps the style, muscle, and BIG FUR. The Grand dam was the mother to Reagan Miller’s Champion Heavy Weight at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. This is the kind that will consistently make stand outs and backdrops.

Flushed 1 time this past June and made 19/19 embryos.

In order for a doe to make our flush pen, they have to receive a capital F at weaning and again as a yearling. 3218 easily met our criteria. She was one of the biggest backed kids we raised last year. Hard muscle, exotic look and sound. Her mom consistently produces great ones including this year’s “ham gravy” doe kid that is waiting her turn in the capital F flush pen. Her sire, Good Eye is the full brother to the 2021 Denver Grand Champion and one of our most consistent herd sires.

TOP GUN PULSE RIDER

YEARLING DOE • 3172

She is another high-quality doe that met our criteria to make the flush pen. She is a round bodied, wide based smooth made doe that checks all the boxes. Her full sib was our high seller at the Collaboration Sale last year. Her dam “59” is the mother to “Meat Loaf” who made the 2023 Ohio State Fair open show Grand Champion and her sire “Top Gun” is the $100,000 full brother to “Carry the Boats”. Top Gun produced the 2023 Arkansas Youth Expo and 2023 Arkansas State Fair Grand Champion. DOB • 2023

Bounds/Wheeler Show Goats

Flushmate Sister to 2023 Grand Doe Iowa State Fair, Reserve Grand Doe NAILE, and Reserve Grand Doe Ohio State Fair - 2307 herself was named the Champion Doe at the Indiana Stock Show for the Unger Family. On July 5th, we collected 19 embryos from her only flush to date. We have never sold a yearling female of this caliber. She is from the last group of goats we raised with our late, great friend Mark Fraser. She was the wider, chunkier version of the NAILE doe and neater necked/more attractive than the Ohio winner. 2307 is in our opinion the visually most impressive yearling goat in Good Hope.

Bounds/Wheeler Show Goats

Reserve Division 3 Female 2023 NAILE - The 551 doe absolutely knocked it out of the park in her virgin flush for us. Her high selling male brought $10,000 at Friday Night Fever and won a class at American Royal for the Clinger family. Her high selling daughter brought $18,000 in Friday Night Females and looks to be an absolute generator for the Peterson Livestock crew in South Dakota. We kept 3055 out of the set and the Kephart family showed her very competitively at NAILE. 3055 has been a rockstar on the flush table. Her May flush collected 19 and her July flush collected 24. We put all 43 of those eggs in and look forward to seeing them this fall! 3055 possesses the absolute largest, hairiest legs we currently have in captivity and she is bonafide fertile. We want to get in the habit of offering these yearling donors that we believe in and have used ourselves with kids on the way. You should hopefully have extra promotional value from their flush sets that come before yours!

Bounds/Wheeler Show Goats

Kendra dominantly campaigned 3044’s mom in 2021 - she is one of the widest, stoutest, and most current built females with a registration number I have seen in recent memory. Her twin natural doe kids sold for a combined $30,000 this spring. 3044 reads as a wild outcross pedigree female backed by a bulletproof doe family. We successfully collected 11 eggs from her only flush in June.

Seidensticker 5-5 River Bend Farms

In 2021 I purchased this ewe from Wesley Glass through his annual production sale as a four year old. She was bred to “Coyote” and that mating resulted in a single ewe lamb that Norman Kohls bought for his granddaughter to show. That ewe lamb went on to be the national champion White Dorper ewe, the supreme champion breeding ewe at Fort Worth and won breed champion and a scholarship at San Antonio. I bred her to “Word” and that mating resulted in “SafeWord” and “Taunya”. “SafeWord” was used here at the ranch and the majority of him is now owned by Broken D Livestock. “Taunya” was sold through the Hill Country Dorper Assoc. sale and is owned by Jeff Langmeier. This past fall “The Red Fox Ewe” gave us twin ewe lambs, again by “Word”. At that time she developed mastitis on one side of her bag. She raised the twins unassisted, and both of them are retained here at the ranch.

100% of her sells as a 7 year old ewe with a half bag. She is open and in great condition. She has never been flushed.

Kelly Hair Sheep

We have adopted a phrase at our firm that is very much gospel in our opinion; “The Best or Nothing”

It is a rare occasion that we show vulnerability in offering a young female of this caliber for sale unless there is a warranted reason. The Symposium is such an event where we are committed to bringing our best or nothing. This ewe lamb doesn’t have a show ring track record quite yet, but comes from the heart of one of the most winningest firms in the business. However, if I had to guess- she will make a stop at a backdrop before the donor pen. Sired by “Checkmate” on a “Typo” daughter. She is ultra-attractive and elegant in motion. Innovative in build and muscle assembly. We dug deep to offer you something elite that has longevity and true relevance in today’s industry.

We are excited to offer this female in the symposium. She’s a phenomenal individual, incredible muscle shape and power with an awesome elegant look. Her sire is Harbour 341. This is his first year of production. We are extremely excited about what he has done for our program and the potential success of his off spring. He has produced many high dollar ewe lambs and weathers this year.

Jade & Bowers

We pride ourselves on the females we make here in Mason. We focus on build, width, structural integrity, and durability. This is your opportunity to pick your favorite out of our whole December flush group. Exciting opportunity

Arguably one of the best females we’ve let go of and it wasn’t an easy decision to offer her. In fact, if we didn’t have two flushmate sisters, she would not be for sale. 3012 combines “”Fuzzy’s”” look, extension, and build with MIR mom’s extra foot size, body, and mass. Her picture and video are impressive, but her genetic make up are what make her so unique. We are excited to see what she makes in the years to come.

Jade & Bowers

22411 was successfully campaigned by Jenna Holt last fall. Champion D4 and Bronze Overall at Tulsa. We sold one sister for $18,000 at the Exclusive 2023, her other sister was shown by Kolton Kohler and was reserve D4 at NAILE. The male out of the flush was Full Throttle that stands at Pfeiffers now. 22411 is unique in her pedigree and her and her sibs have an impressive resume. She has always been the most maternal, biggest ribbed, and bodied of the sisters. Her generating potential is limitless. Another one that is not easy for us to part with. Take advantage.

POLAR BEAR • 2090

“””MY favorite animal is the Polar Bear”” -NK

When you can make one with a graceful, smooth front-end, that ties into a big rack and rib, THEN you’ve made a stud ram. Even with adequate muscle over a large skeleton, he still moves with plenty of free ease and flex in his stride. He has survived the environments of Northeast Texas, the drought and baron desert country of far West Texas, and now, the arid Edward’s Plateau region-and still produces beyond himself. NK POLAR BEAR -2090 is an NK 1619 x PHP 4314 (1619 bred back to his momma), which this made him the pick of the 2020 lamb. **HE HAS BEEN FERTILITY TESTED & GOOD**”

RR Dorpers x

Selling the ram + 25 units of semen stored at RSG. Seller is retaining 50 straws for personal use.

MATURE RAM

Growing up in cattle, Justin has seen the impact one sire can have on a breed and an industry. Patriot has accomplished that in the Dorper breed and has potential to be the biggest game-changer in the Dorper sheep fullbood and club lamb industry. His pedigree will never be repeated. His dam, RR Dorpers 499, was the daughter of the legendary RF 4930, one of the most popular rams in the history of the ADSBS for making great females. 499’s sister was the record-breaking $21,000 Sedalia ewe. Patriot’s sire, NK 466 needs no introduction. Now is the prime time to get this legendary beast that has a lot more impact to make. Whether you’re a single buyer or a group of buyers, owning this ram can undoubtedly take you to the next level in your breeding program.

Patriot is the most recognized living Fullblood Dorper ram in the U.S Some honors garnered by his progeny consist of:

Has been flushed 3 times, averaging 10 embryos

Dam to our $31,000 Midwest Fever Wether and $34,000 Red Tie Live Wether - She was flushed August 4th making 10 high quality embryos. She has averaged 10 on her 3 career flushes. This is the single highest earning donor female that Bernie and Cooper own together and she does it every single time. Can’t miss business opportunity here! Make sure to check out her embryos selling also!

The Twist - Buyer has option to leave 22081 at Ausmus Livestock in Kewanee Illinois until the October 12th flush program. Bernie will do the setup and program for you at no additional charge for yardage or labor. Buyer will be responsible for flush costs and semen. Recips will be available to transfer & load out on flush day for $400 each.

Terms: -All inclusive, we pay the flush bill -Guaranteed at least 3 embryos -We provide the recips, you return them at weaning

Sometimes opportunity knocks and there’s a hairy, heavy muscled beast on the other side of the door! We had the pleasure of purchasing ’X’ and think he’s going to do big things for our program and others. We think he rivals any Hidden Treasure son in terms of stoutness, bone, shag and style!

If you follow our program at all then you know we think the Tag Team genetics over the Split Decision daughters is a slam dunk. Our symposium doe last year was the product of that cross. This doe was reserve at CYAE about a month ago and was 5th overall in division at AZ Nationals.

SIRE: MASH (TATER BUENO)

CHOICE OR DOUBLE BLAKE’S EWE LAMBS

This is a choice lot with the option to double down and take both of them. If the buyer only chooses one, the other is not for sale!

“We think of the Symposium as being the place where buyers have the opportunity to invest in the most unique opportunities in the industry. That being said, we strive to bring stock that we’ve worked hard to create and typically wouldn’t be available for sale.

We dug deep into Blake’s dorper stash and came up with two ewe lambs that we believe will generate exceptional, trendy stock for years to come. Both of these girls are sired by Mash (Tater x Bueno). The paint flanked ewe is out of a Bueno daughter on a Preston Faris ewe. Her 3/4 brother was Macin Hagers whether that won a bunch up north and ended his career winning the Mississippi Yourh Expo last year. The other is out of a white ewe from the Moy family that has made us a great deal of replacement females over the years. “

3 LOUD N PROUD HIDDEN TREASURE DAPPER DAN HAMMER TIME x x

GARDEN CITY, TX

County Road 220 has been a decent place to get goats the past few years and looks to be the place to continue to outsource genetics for the foreseeable future.

HB LOUD N PROUD is WITHOUT QUESTION the densest, most robust bodied baby goat I’ve ever seen and his depth and squareness at his loin edge is ABSOLUTELY UNRIVALED in any buck prospect I’ve touched. His muscle, body and feature looks like he will make highly marketable, highselling prospect goats but unlike SO many that are being promoted, his skeleton, growth curve and functional kind looks like they’ll be the MOST sought after at show time when it truly matters.

We’ve decided to offer up some of the first frozen semen available.

FLUSH OPPORTUNITY - EMBRYO

“COOKIE” “REGINA”

TAG 0253 or 0256

We are offering the choice of flushing one of these 2 phenomenal Donors.

Tag 0253 “Cookie” is sired by Firehouse (Tag Team son) and out of aThats What She Said doe. She is the Donor of our High selling $42k fever wether, as well as the Donor of the Reserve Supreme Breeding Doe at CYAE. This female produces high quality show goats and breeding pieces. We have flushed her 2 times and have got 19 good embryos each flush that are extremely sticky.

Tag 0256 “Regina” was the Grand Champion Doe at the 2023 Arizona National Livestock show! She is sired by DTF (Tag Team x #2) and out of a Next x Next’s sister doe. She was our purchase out of the Friday Night Female sale in 2023 from Ace High Livestock. This female is extreme looking and has the pieces to raise something very special.

YEARLING DOE • 418N60

DOB • 2023

418N60 is one of the first Bootleg daughters born at LaCopa and she’s been a standout from day 1! The 418 doe family has produced the Reserve Heavy Weight Wether at Houston and Champion Light Wt. Wether at San Antonio. The Bootleg kids are some of our best, and we can’t wait to build around these daughters. If it weren’t for the opportunity, this prime donor candidate would not leave the ranch.

We would challenge you to find one with a bolder ribcage and more longevity to her strucutral build. She is longer-leveler-squarer hipped, than many of her contemporaries. Her shoulder & knee lay insider her huge fore-rib and are set back where they are supposed toe be. Her spine is level yet flexible. She is wide and powered up, yet short bladed and feminine. Our family has been raising livestock for generations and in our opinion; this is what a donor female should look like. x

or Scan here for video!

We pulled one of the best yearlings for Symposium. 902N8 looks like a front pasture club calf donor cow. She’s moderate, 3-dimensional, attractive headed, good necked, big bodied, level hipped, and super sound. Like most LaCopa goats, her shoulder and knee lay correctly inside a huge rib cage.

Her mother came from Custer. Bootleg sired some of our best kids this year including a $12,000 & $7,650 wethers in Bleeding Purple.

YEARLING DOE • 9061N3

DOB • 2023

9061 is one of the doe families we automatically keep most of the daughters from. This doe family has produced several winners including our daughter Kaylee’s Reserve Grand of Fort Worth. 9061 females also produced our bucks Bootleg and Redemption. Redemption sired the Division 2 Champion at Rodeo Austin this year.

9061N3 is flawless in her skeleton and fundamental build. She would be a perfect outcorss complement to most of todays promo sires.

TOP GUN CAPATIN MORGAN GATOR

DOB • 2023

This daughter out of Top Gun, the $100k Exclusive buck, is what we like to call a program cornerstone. She is square backed and has the extreme hip shape that Top Gun is known for producing. Her long elegant neck is something we have been breeding deep into our herd. We had her marked down to get flushed twice this fall as part of our A string. She has never been flushed, true virgin yearling ready to go to work! This one’s dam is very closely related to our ultra stout keeper buck “Vookum.”
