About The Award College football, or any sport for that matter, would not bring excitement to millions of people each year if it wasn't for the fans. Yet, when it came to determining the best college football player in the nation, the fans were mostly left out of the selection process - until now. The Premier Player of College Football Award is a trophy presented to the athlete the fans voted for as the best player in NCAA college football. A poll is released at the beginning of the college football season with 20 of the best players for fans to follow. In October, five more great performing players are added to the poll. Fans then have until the last conference championship game to cast Lee Roy Selmon their initial votes for The Premier Player of College Football. The five athletes with the most votes will be announced in December, and invited to The Premier Player of College Football charitable awards dinner. Simultaneously, another poll begins with just those five players on the ballot that will remain open until a week before the awards dinner. The recipient of The 2011 Premier Player of College Football Trophy will be revealed at a charitable awards dinner at 6 p.m. on January 13, 2012, at the Embassy Suites Tampa -University of South Florida. NFL and Collegiate Hall of Famer Lee Roy Selmon views this award as a great voice for college football fans, and sees the Premier Player charitable awards dinners as signature events that can showcase cities, provide fun for fans, recognize premier athletes, and help children around the world. Currently, fans can go to www.premierplayers.com and also vote for The Premier Player of College Basketball (event held in April, in Charlotte, NC), The Premier Player of College Baseball & Softball (event held in July, in Atlanta, GA), and The Premier Player of College Hockey (event held in April, in Boston, MA).

About The Foundation According to reports, there are more than 140,000,000 orphans in the world. Many of them can only dream about doing what most of us may do on a daily basis: Play Sports. Join Josh Freeman, starting quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and other community leaders as they help many of them live this dream now. A dream that can provide fun and laughter, the physical fitness that can improve their athletic abilities and self-esteem, and a chance at finding a forever coach, mentor or family. “I think it’s important for everyone to play sports,” Josh Freeman says Freeman, who desires to use his on and off-field talents to lead the Tampa Community. “Football is a big part of my family and it has put me in a position to help others in sports and other aspects of life.” The Premier Players Sports Foundation is a 501c(3) nonprofit company based in Tampa, FL. The foundation recognizes sports can be a game-changer in a child's life because it teaches team work, physical fitness, leadership and relationship building. That's why the foundation's mission is to provide orphanages around the world with sports balls, apparel and league sponsorships to help their kids get into the games. The foundation will also financially assist orphanages and other children’s organizations by using its charitable award dinners as community fundraisers for nonprofits that operate for the well-being of children in orphanages, foster care or with disabilities and diseases. Be a team player and help make a difference in the lives of millions of children.
