Wedding Linens 101 By Specialty Linens & Chair Covers
Quality linen rental for any event. Let us help you get just the look you want.
There are so many things to plan and check off your list when it comes to preparing a wedding. Wedding linens are just one of the important details that can make a big impact. So whether you are getting married at a reception center, on the beach, in the woods, in your parents backyard or at your local church, selecting the right linens is important. There are a few things you need to know that will help make the process easier. The first thing you need to know is how many tables you are going to be using and what size the tables are. This includes eating tables, serving tables, cake table, sign in table, gift table, and display tables... just to name a few. Creating a layout or a floor plan will help this process. So your job is to know the shape and size and quantity of the tables you will be using. An experienced linen company will be able to tell you what size tablecloth you need. The next thing you need to know is what is the overall feel you want your wedding/reception to have. Knowing your color palette, centerpieces, and venue can really help when selecting your table linens. We often get asked what is popular? What are people doing? Although we for sure see trends, we love when brides select something true and unique to them. Try not think about what everyone else is doing but what your personal style is and what you want for your big day. The last thing to know is your budget. There are so many options when it comes to linens. You can do a single linen to the floor, a linen to the floor with a topper or a runner, or a linen to the floor with a topper and a runner, chair covers, chair cover with a sash or just a sash. The options can be endless! Knowing your budget will ensure you don't get overwhelmed. Selecting wedding linens really can be a fun and exciting process, and being prepared will not only make it easier, but more enjoyable. Good luck and congratulations!
