Thank you for taking a look at our Fall 2018 Boar Book. We appreciate every purchase of semen, breeding stock, & showpig prospects as we know the significant financial investment involved but also the commitment of time that is put into each project. We understand that every order we send out is the start of a dream and we do our very best to do our part to make that dream come true. It has been a very exciting past 12 months for Premium Blend Genetics and for our family. On the family side of things, our daughter Morgan was married to Adam Jarman in December on Regina & Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s anniversary; oldest son Jacob married Elizabeth Billman in a â&#x20AC;&#x153;Surpriseâ&#x20AC;? Wedding that I was honored to officiate in May; and middle son Nolan is now engaged to Kari Carter for an April 2019 wedding. On the Premium Blend side it has also been an extremely exciting time. Customer success in the showring has continued at an awesome rate; we are beyond thrilled with the 34 new sires we have added in 2018; and we are ecstatic to have settled into our new boar facility. Boar health, boar comfort and staff efficiency were the driving factors in the design of the new barn and we could not be more pleased with how it has turned out. We are extremely grateful to our customers for having faith in our sires and putting them in their best females; to the exhibitors of PBG-sired projects for doing the hard work it takes to present them at their very best; and to all of our boar suppliers over the years who have trusted us to care for and get their sires used on elite females. It takes all 3 of those working together to make it all work and we greatly appreciate it!!! After viewing them, we got back in the truck and agreed that we were going to do whatever it took to bring them to PBG. While watching the Perfect Timing preview this past fall, Shane Brinning had an extremely unique Best Man x Visionary barrow that we thought was very intriguing. We immediately followed Shane back to his pen to see if there were any littermate boars. Shane told us there was one that he thought was very special, but he wasn’t sure if he would sell him. After 3 months of calls/texts we were finally able to lock up the purchase of Curtain Call that Shane calls “By far the most amazing creature I have ever bred”. Quite a statement from a firm with the amount of success as the Brinnings, but we think those that see him will agree. It’s nearly impossible to adequately describe this boar without seeing him in person! Curtain Call is one unique beast that we are thrilled to own!! LEGENDARY PEDIGREE – INCREDIBLE BOAR!!! We loved Undisputed when we purchased him on the spring of 2017 and he has certainly delivered!!! Aaron’s description of Undisputed - “ Undisputed is as good as any we have ever put together - Period. I’m sticking to the answer to the question of what to breed him to with: The best one you have in heat. I’ve never thought the term “Freak of Nature” should be applied to a truly great one. Yet, it’s hard to know how else to explain UNDISPUTED except that he’s Freakishly Balanced with still all the extras to produce dominating show stock! Dirty Secret x Full Strut x Black Onyx Bred by Lettow Showpigs Stress: Negative Our trip to Lettow Showpigs this Spring was one we were definitely anticipating and had very high expectations for. The Lettow firm has become synonymous with building elite showpigs that are impeccable in their skeletal build and design, and their ability to do this while piling on all the EXTRAS has been very impressive. Nick and Tye had been in contact with us about a Dirty Secret son that they thought was very special. They believed this boar was a supreme representation of what they try to do at Lettow Showpigs and felt he was one that they thought could make a special impact. We are absolutely thrilled to bring Secret Agent home to Premium Blend. This boar is built in the mold of the elite Dirty Secret offspring we have seen, but also offers some extremes in terms of his freakish look and extension through his head and neck, with loads of fresh back shape and a deep groove running from the backside of his blade to his hip. He is cracked open at the base of his chest and maintains this power through his center cavity! He is really impressive in the curvature to his rib and body shape. As he comes and goes, he does so with tremendous squareness, flexibility, and range of motion. Heâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s got it all! Hurricane x Visionary Bred by Weisinger Farms Stress: Negative Prototype is one that has so many extreme traits in a structurally correct, athletic package. Big and bold in the spread through his chest floor, offering expressive, ripped muscle down his back with an incredibly crisp turn to his loin edge. He offers great spring to his upper rib and carries this down low into a deep, full flank. His neck ties up high into his blade with a great look through his head, while still maintaining a stout skull. As he goes away he overwhelms with incredible width and dimension, all while staying square and flexible with the ability to plant and drive with great range of motion. Prototype has made a name for himself for producing large, high-quality litters of very sellable prospects. His babies were very popular this spring and that has been followed by a tremendous summer in the ring. Distinct x Visionary Dam is the 2015 Indiana State Fair Grand Overall Gilt Bred by Decker Showpigs Stress: Negative Silver Lining has matured into one of the best boars standing @ PBG and has been EXTREMELY popular with visitors. Silver Lining is sired by Distinct and out of a Visionary female that was the 2015 Indiana State Fair Grand Overall Gilt! His dam is a direct daughter of the famous “Mouse” sow that has proven to be a dominating force in the showring the last couple of years. Silver Lining is one stout boar! Extremely heavy boned and big footed! The turn to his upper rib shape is awesome and this depth carries down through his flank. Silver Lining is moderate in his overall package, yet still remains very tall at the point of his shoulder, runs uphill and displays great “show hog” look! Lock It Up x Sting Ray x Best Man Bred by Brinning Genetics Stress: Negative

Initially, our trip to Brinningâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s was completely focused on finding a way to convince Shane to sell us Curtain Call. However, while walking back through the barn, we noticed an awesome younger boar in the pen next to him. Seeing STONES for the first time, we were blown away and we immediately knew we had to find a way to bring him to PBG as well!! Stones is one that reads like a big time barrow sire! He is square and proportionate in his build and balance! He is opened up and square coming and going with really good shape and mass up high! Stones is very rugged and stout in his feature. For a boar that has this much stoutness and mass, he still presents a really trendy look and design from the side. He has a great running gear and can get out and go with great range of motion. We fell in love with KISS THE RING from the moment we saw him. His unique build and patented KMS presence coupled with impressive power, shape and overall mass made him one of those boars that immediately become a “MUST OWN” type of hog. Jesse indicated he had already seen extensive use at HH and they were prepared to put a lot of faith in him as a sire going forward in their program.
