Thank you for your interest in Premium Blend Genetics. PBG is entering our 18th season and we are grateful to be able to do what we love. Now more than ever we greatly appreciate every purchase of semen, breeding stock, & showpig prospect as we know not only the significant financial investment involved but also the tremendous commitment of time that is put into each project. We understand that every order we send out is the start of a dream and we do our very best to do our part to make that dream come true. 2020 has certainly been a challenging time and that has played out in the showpig arenas. We are very thankful for those who have stepped up to the challenges and worked to provide as many opportunities as possible for the kids to be able to exhibit their projects. The development of the alternative shows (state expositions, backyard/pasture shows and cyber shows) were very valuable in maintaining enthusiasm in the showpig community. Many of those new venues will hopefully continue into the future to provide even more opportunities than exhibitors have ever had. We are committed each year to purchase the most elite sires in the country to offer to our customers and we are extremely proud of the boars we have in our fall 2020 line-up. We think this set is incredibly deep with tremendous phenotypic and genetic diversity that we believe will cover an extremely wide range of females. The success of our semen & showpig customers with PBG genetics in the past 12 months has been beyond what we would have ever imagined. A highlight for us in 2020 was 6 PBG boars winning Premier Sire and 2 being named Reserve Premier Sire @ the Summer Type Conference this summer. We feel a tremendous responsibility to the breeders to do our very best to give their boars the greatest chance possible to make an impact in their respective breeds. We currently have a very large selection out of 40+ sires across most breeds. The demand for frozen semen from our customers has been to: 1) Ensure they have access to sires that may not have fresh semen available during high demand times. Many customers are comfortable with frozen semen at this point and prefer to stock up so they have it on hand for use whenever they need it. 2) Ensure they have great options available if their females cycle early or late or stand longer than anticipated. 3) Ensure they have high quality options in case they have an issue with UPS shipment delays.
