Centennial celebration Assisted living resident Wayne Bennetsen celebrated his 100th birthday with family members who traveled from Denver and Dallas to attend the party. As Wayne’s cake suggests, he was an avid golfer. Congratulations to Wayne for reaching this milestone. We would like to thank resident Rita Napoli’s granddaughter, Christine, who brought a friend and provided music for the occasion.

Aberdeen Heights recently launched Small Business Days, a program that invites local businesses onto our campus so residents can become familiar with the business—without ever leaving home. “The idea is to have residents see the spirit and ingenuity of entrepreneurship,” said Bethany Holohan, activity director, “and share their own stories and memories about small businesses in St. Louis. It gives residents something to talk about, and provides a fun day of sampling, learning and reminiscing.” During the most recent Small Business Days, Ericka Robertson Frank from The Cupcakery in St. Louis spoke with residents about how she started her company.
