Get to Know: Becky Kellum
New Marketing Director Becky Kellum may be new to Fort Scott Presbyterian Village, but she brings with her a wealth of experience from many years working at Life Care Center of America and also at Medicalodge of Fort Scott. “I’ve done many things from medical records to activities to acting as social service designee,” said Becky. “I’m really looking forward to connecting to people in the Fort Scott community, and learning the differences between a long-term care community and an assisted living/independent living community.” Becky and her husband John live in Prescott, where her husband is the minister at the Baptist Church. They have four children and three grandchildren, with one on the way. She enjoys taking her schnauzer for walks and is active in their church. Please join us in welcoming Becky to the Presbyterian Village family!
Good Samaritan Dinner tickets!
Join us for the Good Samaritan Auction and Dinner right here at Fort Scott Presbyterian Village. We’ve had many great items donated and more are arriving each day. And there are always a lot of awesome surprises on sale day!
Bring a friend and come on out to have a fun relaxed evening.
The live auction will begin at 5:30 p.m., rain or shine. The goal of the auction is to raise money for the Good Samaritan program to help more seniors with a financial need
who are living at Presbyterian Village. Every item sold at the auction, every ticket sold and every donation made makes a direct positive impact in the lives of seniors in need. Come out and have a fun evening with friends!
Be sure to stop by in advance at 2401 S. Horton or call 620-223-5550 to get your Chicken Mary’s dinner tickets, as we often sell out the day of the event.

Helping great employees grow
From the blooming flowers to the brand-new graduates, May is a month of new beginnings and growth. At Fort Scott Presbyterian Village, we’re honored to help staff members, both new and experienced, achieve growth in their own lives. This month we’re recognizing Emmah Reeves and Rahab Ngatia for completing their Registered Nurse (RN) programs.
“We are so proud of each person on staff at the Presbyterian Village, many of whom juggle multiple careers, family and educational goals all at the same time,” said Executive Director Ginger Nance. “Both of these young women began working as certified nurse’s aides at Presbyterian Village, and after a short time, they knew that their passion for helping others would be the career path they would choose. It’s been an honor to watch them grow in their skills and maturity. I see them both going far in their professional lives.”

Presbyterian Village offers many educational benefits to its employees in hopes everyone will be encouraged to fulfill their dreams and further the Christian mission of our organization. If you or someone you know could benefit from our organization, please contact Ginger Nance, executive director, at 620-6444362 or view our careers at www.presbyterianmanors.org.
