Meet the new beautician

Macey Kleinsorge is happy to have a booth in the beauty shop here at Fulton Presbyterian Manor and is enjoying her new position. “I enjoy visiting with the residents and hearing their stories.”

Macey has been a beautician for four years and has been at Fulton Presbyterian Manor since May 2018. She also works at Tangles Salon. If you haven’t met Macey yet, stop by and say hi, and perhaps get a new ‘do’ while you’re at it. Welcome, Macey!

Making the decision to move into an independent living community isn’t always an easy one, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be a difficult one, either.

2 COMMUNITY MATTERS AUGUST 2018

GARRETT continued from page 1

The majority of residents who choose to make Fulton Presbyterian Manor their new home find that they have more freedom than before to enjoy or rekindle hobbies and interests.

New resident Fay Garrett certainly has enjoyed her share of different interests over the years, flower gardening, sewing, and baking—especially making sourdough bread. “The sourdough bread was so good. Everyone looked forward to getting it,” said her granddaughter Kenli.

Fay worked at First Bank and also at the utility department at City Hall in Fulton. She and her late husband, Harley, were members of the Gideons

International. They were married nearly 70 years.

She is a member of Heartland Church in Fulton, Mo. Lisa Garrett, Fay’s daughter, owns Unique Designs, and Fay worked there for about 10 years doing their books and taxes. Fay is now enjoying her new home at Fulton Presbyterian Manor.

“The people here are friendly, and the food is good,” said Fay. Fay enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, which she’ll be freer to do now without the encumbrance of home maintenance. Welcome to our community, Fay!
