Topeka Presbyterian Manor’s Art is Ageless® winners announced

“Two United as One” by Phil Stone

Topeka Presbyterian Manor recently hosted a reception for the winning artists in the annual Art is Ageless® juried competition. “We are honored to exhibit artwork by seniors,” said Jami Colson, marketing director. “Art is Ageless is unique in featuring only the works of artists age 65 and older. Our artists prove that art, in any form, is an ageless ambition.” Winners in the Topeka Presbyterian Manor Art is Ageless juried competition were: Best of Show: Agnes Burns, “Watercolor,” Painting Judge’s Choice: Barbara Reser, “Eternity II,” Mixed Media/Crafts (professional) People’s Choice: Lowell W. Wendland, “Plastic Craft Ferris ART IS AGELESS, continued on page 3

Jami Colson joins Presbyterian Manor staff New Marketing Director Jami Colson has only been at Topeka Presbyterian Manor since January 2016, but she’s been serving in the senior living industry for much longer. Most recently, she did marketing for Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska, and covered the Kansas and Missouri areas. In addition to her marketing background, she’s also been a nurse for 31 years specializing in rehabilitation, long-term care and being a general resource for elder care. Jami really enjoys her position, especially getting to know each and every resident and meeting new potential PMMA family members. Her role is both rewarding and challenging, as she coordinates with so many different departments and people. “I want to make sure every person that comes through our doorway has COLSON, continued on page 2

the best quality of life, like our own families do,” said Jami. Jami is originally from Dayton, Ohio, and is very close with her family. “My children and now my grandchildren are the air I breathe. I am also an animal lover I would have a rescue if my Husband and I had the space. And not just cats and dogs. My granddaughter who wants to be a vet at age eight says we could even take care of alligators if they need a home,” said Jami. Join us in welcoming Jami to the Presbyterian Manor family!
