About Adirondack Coast Events: In May 2014, local residents and lifelong runners Erin and Steve Peters started Adirondack Coast Events – a race timing and event consulting business. Their goal is to provide services to racing events across the Adirondack Region at an affordable rate to allow race organizers to distribute more funds to the event's charity. "We started Adirondack Coast Events to elevate the regional running scene while also creating a format that allows more funds to go to charity," Steve said. "We're here to help them, and it's been a really gratifying process." Steve and Erin, with the help of their children, have timed over 150 events and helped raise almost $200,000 for local, regional and national charities since 2014. Their timing services include start/finish line services and announcing, as well as data management from the point of online registration all the way through finish line results. This includes RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) timing chips and associated hardware to digitally record finish times into a variety of formats. "We take a total community approach to what we do," said Steve. "We are there cheering for the last finisher as much as we are there for the first finisher. You'll often see our children setting up flags or running waivers to us. All the while, each charity becomes personal for us because we see how much the event means to the organizer. Its a very powerful experience for our family in many ways." Learn more on page 7 ->
