Environmental Hygienist Advocates 2d Opinion of Mold Inspection, Test, & Remediation Reports & Bids Certified Environmental Hygienist Phillip Fry recommends that mold victims and property owners, managers, and tenants get a second opinion by an independent, unrelated hygienist of any mold inspection or testing report, mold removal protocol plan, or mold remediation bid quotation. Montrose, MI, May 04, 2014 -- “Mold inspection, testing, and remediation protocol plans, reports and bids are often not professionally-prepared, correct, appropriate and/or affordable,” reports mold expert Phillip Fry, Certified Environmental Hygienist and Professional Industrial Hygienist. “Getting a second opinion about the meaning and impact of an issued mold inspection or mold testing report, proposed mold remediation protocol plan, or mold removal bid proposal, from an independent, mold-experienced Certified Environmental Hygienist or Professional Industrial Hygienist can help mold victims and property owners, managers, and tenants know the true extent of mold infestations and how to get rid of such mold problems in an effective and affordable way,” recommends Mr. Fry, who is author of five mold advice ebooks and the co-manager of the international EnviroFry mold services company. For example, mold testing is often incomplete because too few areas of the home or workplace are properly tested with air tests and surface sample collection. “Proper and thorough mold testing might require testing the air in at least five to fifteen different indoor locations, plus surface sampling in multiple building areas,” notes Mr. Fry, who is the webmaster since 1999 of the mold information website www.moldinspector.com. A second opinion should be based primarily on a thorough review and evaluation by a hygienist not involved in making the original mold report, remediation protocol, or bid. A second opinion might require a new, more thorough mold inspection and mold testing of the home or commercial building by the newly-engaged environmental or industrial hygienist. A good example of the benefits of an outside, new second opinion is the EnviroFry evaluation of the landlord-hired clearance testing report that purported to declare as safe and habitable an allegedly mold-remediated luxury apartment in Scottsdale, Arizona, which had previously experienced a significant master bathroom water leak with resulting mold infestation.
