AVID It’s been a monster year for the Avid brand with impressive sales across a whole host of product categories. We are constantly striving to improve our product showcase and this year we like to think we’ve added some real winners to the mix. Included in this are a new range of rods you simply have to pick up to really appreciate their superb action. The Curvex rods have one of the most responsive, non-lock actions ever created in a carp rod, making them perfect for many anglers, especially those using braided reel line and boats. This year we have really embraced the ‘Road Trip’ angler, and the new Screenhouse and Tardis Road Trip Editions are a great example of how we’ve tweaked products to give them wider appeal. The Screenhouse now has many more features, making it more versatile, whilst the Tardis RT features our new Easy-Peak innovation, that makes putting the peak in easier than ever before. We’ve also tweaked the Tardis to accept even larger bedchairs and there is an overwrap that provides a true extension because of the new peak. We’ve added yet more stunning luggage to the Tuned™ range, with more cool bags, pouches and rod holdalls. There’s also a brilliant new Rucksack and Mobile Roll-a-Mat, which we expect most anglers will use in combination. On the innovation front there’s plenty to impress, including the brilliant Quick Click Adaptors. These are great for storm poles, retaining slings, your buzz bars, banksticks and anything else where you want to avoid screwing things in! Speaking of screwing things in, the new Platform Screw Pegs are also really smart. Shaped like the ‘A’ in Avid, they’re a real improvement on using cup hooks or electrical cable hooks. Our new Catapults are also a fantastic leap forward in design. Thanks to PTFE insert bushes we have the only carp catapults on the market where the elastic will not twist up and give you a headache. If you like bling then you’ll adore the Carbon Yard Sticks, they really are a ‘must-have’ accessory, utilising 3D carbon manufacturing to keep our iconic swan neck shape. All in all, it’s a veritable smorgasbord of fantastic, desirable carp gear. And trust us when we say there’s a lot more to come! Tight lines,

TARDIS RT The Tardis Road Trip Edition provides the perfect marriage between something that is compact on the outside, but spacious on the inside. If you want to save some space in the car on your next adventure, or you just want to travel light and fish tight swims, this is the bivvy for you. The RT version features a stylish storm peak, offering extra protection from elements and allowing you to increase the footprint of the bivvy when combined with overwrap (sold separately). A 2-rib design is used to reduce weight, but spacing out the poles makes the bivvy more spacious than traditional pram-hood alternatives on the inside. Uses soft feel 10,000mm waterproof and breathable fabric for maximum protection from the elements. Perfect for the hardcore angler who demands great quality in a more compact form. Before attaching your rig or leader, you need to attach two of the supplied Rubber Beads to your main line. As you drop your rig from the boat, one bead should be set a few feet above your rig and the other should be positioned a couple of feet over depth, to give the float a little bit of movement. Once you’ve dropped your rig into position, attach the Bottle Marker to your main line, between the two beads, using the clip on the elasticated section of the Marker. With the Bottle Marker now on the surface of the lake, you can head back to the bank, safe in the knowledge your main line is going to be above any snags and out of harms way.
