Daniel Radcliffe, Paul Dano to Star in ‘Swiss Army Man’
Daniel Radcliffe, Paul Dano and Mary Elizabeth Winstead will star in offbeat dramedy “Swiss Army Man,” with shooting to start in July. Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert are directing. The Tadmor Group and Cold Iron Pictures will co-finance and produce. The film, launched at the Sundance Lab, centers on a hopeless man stranded in the wilderness who befriends a dead body; together, they go on a surreal journey to get home. The film will be produced by Cold Iron Pictures’ Miranda Bailey and Amanda Marshall, Blackbird’s Lawrence Inglee, Jonathan Wang, the
Tadmor Group’s Eyal Rimmon and Lauren Mann. The Tadmor Group’s Gideon Tadmor and Jim Kaufman and William Olsson serve as executive producers. Kwan and Scheinert recently won best director at the MTV Music Awards. They have made their musicvideos and short films in conjunction with Prettybird and are represented by Mosaic. Cold Iron Pictures produced the upcoming Sony Classics “The Diary of a Teenage Girl,” starring Kristen Wiig, Alexander Skarsgard, Chrisopher Meloni and Bel Powley. Cold Iron produced and financed Oren Moverman’s “Time Out of Mind,” starring Richard Gere. The company is in post-production on the political drama “Oppenheimer Strategies,” starring Richard Gere, Michael Sheen, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Dan Stevens, Steve Buscemi and Josh Charles.
