Tips and Ideas for Hosting a Tasty Event @ your Library:

Blue Ribbon Bake-Off: Host a good old-fashioned bake-off with patrons or librarians as judges, blue-ribbon prizes and all!

At the Table: Ideas, tips and demonstrations on how to set and decorate the perfect holiday table. A crafter’s delight!

Prize-Winning Pinterest: Dedicate a board on your Pinterest Page to pictures and recipes of your patrons’ favorite dishes.

Cookie Swap: Perfect for the holidays. Each patron should bring their favorite holiday cookie and leave with an assortment of cookies.

Recipe Card Shout and Share: Patrons make copies of their favorite recipe cards to discuss and pass around.

Books and Cooks: Host a librarian led discussion on the best of culinary biography or other food narrative.

Restaurant Row: Invite local restaurants to host an event at the library sampling their most popular dishes.

Movie Mangia: Screen the best films inspired by food. (Think Julie and Julia, Ratatouille, and Chocolat)

Party Planning 101: Feature books to offer the best menus, favors and themes for your next big soiree.

Cupcake Wars: Invite kids to make cupcakes tackling literary themes. (Think The Hungry Caterpillar or Charlotte’s Web) Vacuum not included!
