G. THOMAS LUMPKIN C.S. Trosper Chair in Entrepreneurship Director of the Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Division Ph.D. (University of Texas at Arlington)
Tom Lumpkin’s research and teaching interests include entrepreneurial orientation, social entrepreneurship and family business. He is a globally recognized scholar whose research has been published in journals such as the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. He is a co-editor of Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and serves on the editorial boards of five leading international journals. Lumpkin comes to OU from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University in New York, where he served as the Chris J. Witting Chair and Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises. He received his Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.

RICHARD PRICE John F.Y. Stambaugh Professor of Accounting Steed School of Accounting Ph.D. (Stanford University)
Richard Price’s research focuses on market efficiency, accounting conservatism, financial reporting quality and corporate governance. His research has been published in the Journal of Accounting and Economics and the Journal of Financial Economics, among other leading journals. Price has taught financial accounting to MBA students, intermediate accounting to undergraduate students and financial statement analysis and accounting theory to graduate students. Formerly, he was on the faculty at Rice University and Utah State University. He earned his Ph.D. in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Stanford University in 2005. He also holds a master’s degree in statistics from Stanford University, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University.

ELIZABETH STETSON Charles C. & Virginia Ann Weddle Professor of Accounting Steed School of Accounting Ph.D. (University of Oklahoma)
Beth Stetson’s professional career and research relates to law and taxation. Before returning to academia, she served as a senior trial attorney and international attorney for the IRS and captain in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General Corps, and is a current member of the State Bars of California and Oklahoma. Her research has been published in the Journal of Psychological Type, the Journal of the American Taxation Association, Advances in Taxation, State Tax Notes, The Journal of Multistate Taxation and Incentives, Oil, Gas & Energy Quarterly and Practical Tax Strategies, among others. She obtained her Ph.D. in accounting and psychology, J.D. and B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Oklahoma. She also holds an M.S. in tax from Golden Gate University.

MARGARET SHAFFER Michael F. Price Chair in International Business Management and International Business Division Ph.D. (University of Texas at Arlington)
Margaret Shaffer’s research activities focus on understanding cross-cultural experiences, especially in the areas of expatriate adjustment and performance and life balance. Prior to joining Price College, she held the Notebaert Distinguished Professorship of International Business and Global Studies at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Her work has been published in numerous leading journals, such as the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, and Journal of International Business Studies. She is an associate editor for the Journal of Global Mobility: The Home of Expatriate Management Research, and serves on the editorial boards of numerous leading journals. Shaffer holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in human resource management from the University of Texas at Arlington, as well as a B.A. in psychology and sociology.

Wesley Wang’s main research interest is behavioral finance, insider trading and stock options. He teaches Financial Modeling and Analysis in Excel and Fixed Income Fund Management. His research has been published in European Financial Management. He received his Ph.D. in finance from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Zhejiang Gongshang University and a master’s degree in finance from Fudan University. MARCUS WOLFE Assistant Professor Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Division Ph.D. (Indiana University)
Marcus Wolfe teaches and researches in the area of entrepreneurship. His research primarily focuses on learning from entrepreneurial failure, entrepreneurial cognition and decision making, as well as the potential biological factors that influence entrepreneurship. He served as an assistant professor at Ball State University before joining Price College. His research has appeared in a number of leading peer-reviewed journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and Small Business Economics. He has also been involved in founding and running a number of new venture start-ups in a wide range of industry sectors. Professor Wolfe earned his Ph.D. from Indiana University.

JAMES MCCOWN Lecturer Finance Division Ph.D. (Ohio State University)
James McCown’s research concerns interest rates, international stocks and precious metals. His business experience includes the real estate, wireless telephone and computer software industries, and has consulted for numerous oil and gas industry projects. McCown has taught finance and economics at Florida Atlantic University, Oklahoma City University. His work has been published in Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Review, Applied Economic Letters, and Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance. McCown earned his Ph.D. in economics from Ohio State University after receiving an M.B.A. and B.B.A. in finance at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

ROCIO CLAYBON Instructor Management Information Systems Division M.B.A. (University of Oklahoma)
Rocio Claybon is an information technology professional and leader. She has over 18 years of IT experience gained in various roles in the energy and telecommunications industries, most recently serving as the IT manager of Land, Facilities and Well Construction at Devon Energy. Claybon teaches key Database and Enterprise Systems courses while guiding students in completing their field projects. She is a founding member of the Women in Technology non-profit organization and is passionate about advancing STEM initiatives in Oklahoma. Claybon received her M.B.A. and B.B.A. in MIS from the University of Oklahoma.

ELIZABETH KISSICK Instructor Marketing and Supply Chain Management Division M.B.A. (Oklahoma Christian University)
Elizabeth Kissick is an industry experience in inventory control management and reporting, purchasing, customer service, large team management, increasing employee engagement, and drug enforcement regulation as it relates to the supply chain of pharmaceuticals. Before joining OU, she served as operations supervisor and most recently inventory manager within McKesson’s Oklahoma City Distribution Center. Kissick earned her M.B.A. in leadership and organizational development from Oklahoma Christian University after graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a B.B.A. in supply chain management and entrepreneurship.
