Milwaukee Dragon Boat Festival

Milwaukee celebrates its diversity with a whole host of ethnic and cultural festivals aimed at showcasing a wide range of traditions and heritages. One such event is the Milwaukee Dragon Boat Festival, which spotlights Chinese traditions through dance, music, cuisine, martial arts and dragon boat racing. Teams of twenty can sign up to race in traditional, brightly colored boats and paddle to the finish line. There are also a variety of hands-on activities like mask and lantern-making workshops, and attendees can learn Chinese games and take part in a dragon parade.
