Leaps and bounds
CFMoto has added to its range of UTVs with a midsize model the company says is a “quantum leap” over its predecessor.
The UForce 600 replaces the UForce 550 EPS and is lighter, more powerful, has greater towing capacity and a host of other improvements.
“The UForce 600 is a massive addition to our Aussie UTV arsenal and we’re tremendously excited about its potential with all the updates such as the electronic engine braking and limited-slip rear diff,” says CFMoto Australia director Michael Poynton.
“It’s the perfect machine for both work and play.”
In addition to the updates mentioned by Poynton, CFMoto has also added a new front-end design, enhanced storage space, increased ground clearance and metallic paint.
The UForce 600 offers 41 horsepower (31kW) and 62Nm of torque (3hp and 1Nm more than the 550 EPS) and has a dry weight of 570kg, which is 42kg lighter than the 550 EPS.
It has a 680kg towing capacity and 280kg cargo capacity.
Standard features include electronic power steering, a rollover protection system-approved cage, work and normal drive models and 30cm aluminium wheels.
Another new addition is a larger bench seat, which cleverly has almost 100L of storage underneath.
The UForce 600 is now on sale from CFMoto dealers and carries a drive-away price of $13,490.

South Australian farmer Matt Davey, who runs Kalimar Ag in Kadina on the Yorke Peninsula, trialled the Case IH AFS Connect Magnum tractor before its official launch into the Australian market late last year.
Key to the new tractor series is the AFS Connect portal, which gives the operator a view of the field operations, fleet information and agronomic data from their preferred device. It also allows for the sharing of this information with trusted third parties, such as dealers and agronomists.
“They’ve done a lot of good things inside with regards to the new-look cab and I really liked the new screen,” says Davey.
“Its features are impressive and there’s so much more programming you can do in it as well, with more options, and it allows for so much customisation.
“There are also numerous features that would benefit less experienced operators, potentially providing farm businesses with more options when it comes to available labour.”
Inside the cab, the operator benefits from a MultiControl armrest with configurable remotes, a MultiFunction handle with four programmable hot key buttons, an encoder knob and an upgraded screen.
Davey says that a standout for him with the AFS Connect Magnum was the ease with which he

could easily change the functions assigned to the buttons.
“When I was spraying, I had them set up as different engine speed buttons, and I even had one button programmed to answer the phone. When I went back to my old tractor, I kept looking for that button; it was great. With the Multi-Control handle you don’t have to move your hand, all the functions you need at the time are right there.”
The AFS Connect Magnum series is available in Rowtrac and four-wheeled configurations, from 250 horsepower (186kW) all the way up to 400hp (298kW) – the first time a 400hp option has been offered in the Magnum range in Australia. The tracked units are available for 340–400hp (254–298kW) models, while wheeled machines go from 250–400hp.
