New this year, we are testing all the sale bulls for the homozygous polled gene. This gives you the buyer an added tool to select a bull that you can be guaranteed that he will take 100% of the horns off his progeny. Results will be posted sale day! Bull Developement & Delivery: Bulls will be delivered for free within 200 km and can be delivered anywhere at a minimal cost. Bulls can return to the farm and be picked up at the buyerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s convenience prior to April 1, 2013. Bulls will be held at the farm until April 1 for free. After that date there will be a $3/day charge. There will be a $50 discount for bulls taken home the evening of the sale. Buyers need to insure bulls returning to the farm.

Health & Fertility: All bulls will be semen tested and have a scrotal measurement and vet examination done prior to the sale. All bulls have been treated with Ivomec and have current vaccinations including both shots for foot rot.

Should a problem occur barring physical injury or mismanagement, a bull of equal value will be provided or a credit will be issued towards the purchase of another bull. EPD Explanation & Changes to the new CGA National Cattle Evaluation (NCE) EPDs are “Expected Progeny Differences”. They are a useful tool in selection. EPDs incorporate the individual animal with its averaged ancestry performance. The CGA and the AGA has moved to the American Simmental Association’s NCE this spring below are some of the benefits: • Higher accuracy WW EPDs due to the addition of historical and future weaning weight records to the NCE analysis by including early weaned data, past, present and future. • Increased EPD accuracies for Percentage Gelbvieh and Balancer animals since the joint analysis with the ASA will include a larger database of Angus (Red & Black) animals. • Higher accuracy values for all traits with the inclusion of genomic data to create genomic-enhanced EPDs (GE-EPDs). • Standardized carcass EPDs with other beef breeds as carcass data will now be age adjusted instead of fat adjusted. • Higher accuracy marbling EPDs as bull IMF scan data will be included in the calculation of marbling EPDs.

Should the purchaser fail to settle for his purchase, we reserve full power to resell the animal to the best advantage, either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. The owners and sale staff have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment and/or who has not made credit arrangements prior to the sale with the owners and/or sale management. Bid - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. Disputes - In cases of disputes, bidding will be re-opened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be fi nal. Purchaser’s Risk - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements. Certificate of Registry - The proper registration or recordation paper, as the case may be, will be duly transferred and furnished to the buyer for each animal after settlement has been made. Shipping - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale, but sale management or seller assumes no risk. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement. Guarantee - All animals will carry standard breeding guarantee as specifi ed by the applicable Canadian Breed Association. Exception to Guarantee - In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void. In the cases of bulls, they are guaranteed to breed naturally according to applicable Canadian Breed Association guarantee, but no guarantee is given that semen from any bull will freeze. Health - It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Accidents - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the sale management, auctioneer, or association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident of loss of property.
