Being born into an entrepreneurial family, Mr. Syed Abrar shared that his grandfather was an entrepreneur. He was his first inspiration. He didn’t have any clue how to be any other way. He also hadn’t been employed for a longer period in his professional career.
“Being from a developing country people quickly learn that they cannot depend on others if they want to be successful in life and not just be a survivor. Here you either find your way to become successful or suffer the consequences of being a survivor. A common man surviving on a 9 to 6 job was never my forte. Also, I always had the natural inclination towards serving the community at large and not just thinking about myself and my immediate family’s needs. Hence that mindset became the driving energy to begin my journey as an entrepreneur and lay the foundation of InSnap Technologies Private Limited.”

“A strict interpretation of the word entrepreneur would disqualify me from eligibility – after all, the financial risk and investments are not mine. Having said that, our investors and my CEO Mr. Junaid Syed have been very clear in how they outlined my deliverables to the company. It was a 25-year horizon to build a legacy for future generations and an expectation to create a valuable company and not a valuation-driven company. This has allowed me to take every decision with a long-term benefit in mind thereby creating a solid foundation on which we can scale at pace and with the confidence of doing the right thing by all our stakeholders – our customers, our team
members, and through them, our investors. We are currently at the scaling stage of our business, my journey through our ideation, validation, planning, launch, and growth stages has been nothing less than a roller coaster ride with challenges so exhilarating sometimes making me reach my ‘burnout’ levels. Prime Insights: Being a serial entrepreneur yourself, what is the one piece of advice you would like to give to aspiring entrepreneurs?
Ms. Bidisha Bose: My journey as an entrepreneur has brought me immense fortes! I started back in 2018 when I did bounce back from lapses. I started everything from scratch, with fewer resources without thinking of what the outcomes would be. So taking action is what counts! For me being a leader or an entrepreneur means being a mentor and a friend to whom my associates, juniors, employees, or anyone for that matter, can come up and speak anything and everything they want to. I avidly believe that as an entrepreneur one needs to perceive things differently. You should be proactive about focusing on the solutions and learning from your mistakes.
With that, we have come to the end of the article but before that, we asked Ms. Bidisha Bose to share a few words of intellect for all the young minds out there, to which she said, “Many of us are still confused about what we want to do in our lives. It is also evident that people do have a lack of awareness about the plethora of opportunities waiting to be explored with an open mindset. So I strongly believe that one must seek the right mentorship at the earliest, to find the best suitable path. If something is not working for you despite giving it a fair amount of chance and pouring in consistent hard work, then it’s probably time to explore other opportunities side by side. You can continue doing it but solely holding on to it isn’t the right idea in today’s highly ever-changing.

His journey from a small town in India to the helm of one of the most valuable companies in the world is nothing short of inspiring. In this article, we will take a closer look at the life and career of Sundar Pichai, his struggles, and his path to success.
Early Life and Education
Pichai Sundararajan was born on July 12, 1972, in Chennai, India. His father, Raghunath Pichai, was an electrical engineer, and his mother, Lakshmi, was a stenographer. Pichai grew up in a middle-class family in a small apartment in Ashok Nagar, a neighborhood in Chennai.
Pichai showed an early aptitude for academics and was always at the top of his class. He attended Jawahar Vidyalaya, a wellrespected school in Chennai, where he excelled in math and science. After completing high school, he earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in metallurgical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, one of the top engineering colleges in India. Pichai was a distinguished student at IIT and was awarded a Silver Medal for academic excellence.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Pichai moved to the United States to pursue higher education. He received a scholarship to study at Stanford University, where he earned a Master of Science degree in materials science and engineering. He then went on to study at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned an MBA with distinction.
Early Career
After completing his studies, Pichai started his career in product management at Applied Materials, a semiconductor equipment company based in California. He then joined McKinsey & Company as a management consultant, where he worked with clients in the technology and healthcare industries.
In 2004, Pichai joined Google, a relatively small but rapidly growing search engine company at the time. He started as a product manager, working on Google’s search toolbar and web browser. Pichai quickly became known for his analytical skills and his ability to understand the needs of Google’s users.
Rise at Google
In 2008, Google launched its own web browser, Chrome, and Pichai was put in charge of the project. Chrome quickly became popular with users, and Pichai’s leadership on the project earned him recognition within the company.
Pichai was later put in charge of Google’s suite of apps, including Gmail, Google Drive, and
Google Docs. He was also responsible for the development of Google’s mobile operating system, Android. Pichai’s leadership on Android helped the operating system become the most widely used mobile platform in the world.
