In a move expected to promote investment in the diamond mining sector, Minister Chitando also announced a new diamond policy meant to regulate diamond mining in Chiadzwa, which had been dogged by controversy for years. He said under the policy, only Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC), Murowa Diamonds and two other companies had been approved to explore and mine diamonds.
