THE INSURANCE CONFERENCE
2016
24 - 27 July 2016 - Sun City
In Just a few months, we will be delighted to welcome you to the 43rd Annual Insurance Conference themed “BUSINESS UNUSUAL” hosted by FIA, IISA and SAIA in Sun City from the 24-27 July 2016. The 2016 Insurance conference theme could not be more appropriate as the 2015 year financial distress has hampered the growth of the Insurance Industry. Over the two days, the “BUSINESS UNUSUAL” theme will examine the significant issues related to the current state of the Insurance Industry focusing on the African continent. This will be highlighted by our panel of esteemed speakers. 2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the IISA’s existence. Fifty years is a milestone. It is an occasion to celebrate - an opportunity to momentarily look back but a golden ticket to chart the path forward. Join us as we celebrate this milestone at the 2016 conference which will be packed with a panel of eminent speakers, debates and discussion on key issues and pertinent topics related to the state of the Insurance industry. The 2016 Conference will focus on present state of the African continent, exciting networking opportunities with delegates from local and international markets as the conference has become renowned for attracting over 1200 delegates. The Annual Insurance Conference has become well known for the social events that take place during the conference. These events not only entertain but have become the place to be at when it comes to networking, marketing and sharing ideas with likeminded people, whether it is through a game of golf, Welcome cocktail party, Theme dinner and Gala Dinner. Following the 2015 Annual Insurance conference where a host of attendees from various professional spheres were present, the 2016 conference will undoubtedly attract a multitude of professional individuals from across the African and International borders. July will never be the same again so make sure you do not fall behind, save the date and book early in order to qualify for the early bird rates and then join us at Sun City for a world class conference.

An African appetite for resource efficiency Africa has huge potential for resource efficiency, with business and government working across the continent to save costs by cutting consumption of power and water. “There is growing demand and great excitement about the elimination of waste from industry,” says Ndivhuho Raphulu, former president of the African Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production, and director of the National Cleaner Production Centre in South Africa (NCPC-SA). In just five years, the Industrial Energy Efficiency (IEE) project of the NCPC-SA helped industry save R1,1 billion (US $78 million) and 1 340 GWh of energy, enough to power 180 000 mid-income homes for a year. Now South Africa’s experience is being used to stimulate energy efficiency across the continent, taking account of important differences between countries. Each country is at a different stage of industrial development, with different infrastructure, regulations and ideas about waste management, Ndivhuho says. “But what we all have in common is a desire to cut costs, reduce consumption and to show that environmental responsibility is good for business.”

We specialise in total irrigation solutions and turnkey projects, no matter the magnitude!
If you are a modern agriculturalist, you are also in the business of saving money and conserving nature... SO ARE WE! Our CENTRE PIVOTS have many features doing exactly that! •
The more expensive I-Wob sprinkler packages installed on every SENTER 360 centre pivot is standard equipment. It is proven by independent water-scheduling professionals to get more water in the ground than most other centre pivot sprinklers available today. It is saving you money by not unnecessarily losing expensively pumped water to the atmosphere through evaporation or run-off. Contact us for more details.
•
I-Wob sprinklers operate at their best at only 1 bar pressure, thereby saving energy.
•
Due to a SENTER 360 world-rst patent that is tted as standard to every SENTER 360 centre pivot, we constantly keep your SENTER 360s’ last sprinklers clean. As a result you DO NOT lose the outside hectares of your expensively planted and fertilised crop anymore as is commonly “accepted” worldwide by centre pivot manufacturers and irrigation farmers alike due to blockages during the irrigation cycle.
•
The extremely strong (strongest in the business) and balanced pipe structure will last longer through those unexpected gale forces and trying conditions that nature so often throws at us.
•
Our standard, accurate and intelligent direct millimetre adjustable speed-control unit ensures that you apply the exact millimetres required every time, not guessing and over- or underirrigating.
•
Our optional, accurate, multi-level soil moisture measuring devices empower you to determine and irrigate the exact amount needed for your crop, proven not only to save you water and preserve your fertiliser, but also to ensure higher yields. Independent tests show less water used and higher yields achieved every time.
